The, at least morphological and in terms of specialisation, relations of this Northern Eastmediterranids (Pontids) to the Atlantomediterranid type are really obvious in my opinion.

The most typical Pontids can be found in Bulgaria:
Largely Pontid:

Most models from Bulgaria are Pontid and most female ballet dancers in Eastern Europe (f.e. Russia).

This models are almost exclusively Pontid, with Miss Bulgaria being very typical:

They might be sometimes mixed, but in fact its the other way around, Dinarids might be partly descendents of older Pontid strains rather than the other way around. Pontids are Eastmediterranids, possibly mixed with Corded People and Nordoids from the beginning in my opinion. With other types as well obviously, but they are not important sources for the type itself.

Agrippa what's Corded people?

Corded People or Battle Axe People are an archaeological complex which had a pred. Nordoid population, but of a special, high-long headed, very narrow face, quite leptomorphic but at the same time robust boned and on average quite "progressive" type in the way of being very versatile - not in every way more neomorphic ("new") in appearance, though they were a special novum in many areas.
There are in various threads pictures of skulls and descriptions. Modern day robust boned + very leptomorpic-high headed Eastnordid phenotypes from Russia or Sweden come closest.

i agree. Dinarid is partly descendant from the Pontid type. In west europe is often associated to the Atlantomed

What about your theory of a Cro-Magnon mountain type? (Here (http://forums.skadi.net/showpost.php?p=294894&postcount=61)) Does this apply to the Borreby-like Dinarics?

I think that Coon was partly right that more than one element played in, in the forming of Dinarids in Europe. The main point is, Dinarisation is not just the result of Atlantomediterranid/Pontid - Alpinid mixture, but the 2nd part is a rather unreduced Borreby form, at best Alpinoid, and selection was involved. Their are Dinaroids which look like being almost exclusively Cromagnoid/Borreby derived, but North Mediterranid elements played in as well most likely.

True. From what i perceive, the Dinarid is almost more central european than southern. That's my perception of tihs subrace in its phenotypical, mental/attitudinal complex.

Some of these pictures are wrong. I noticed a few Northern Pontids in the pile. And the man with the warped head, looks like a Northern Pontid + Baltid mix (though the look itself oddly reminds me of an Ashkenazi I worked with0
