I'm throwing a party with this theme. Seemed like a thread that could generate a few laughs, given some of the characters who hang around here. Happy haunting.

Anything involving blackface would be politically incorrect.

Anyone know where I can get a Muhammed costume? Or know how to sew?

wouldn't that just require two sheets - one for you head the other for your clothes? :D

I've thought before of dressing up as a Klansman for Halloween. Dressing up as an SS officer and having a friend dress up as an Orthodox Jew and hanging around near the train station would also have its kick... but nah, I think it'd be taking it a little too far. Costumes are supposed to scare people, but not annoy the heck out of them. :D

For the Mohammed costume, you will find everything you need in the linen closet.

Anything involving blackface would be politically incorrect.

More specifically, you could dress like a negro thug and spend all the trick-or-treat tour with a freshly stolen plasma TV in your hands. Or instead of telling people trick-or-treat, you could simply threat them with a handgun or knife.

If you really want to dress like Mohamed, wrap up a huge bomb on your head let a very long and visible fuse going out of it, as in the Danish cartoon.

lol, that'd be one unfortunate halloween costume at the end of the night or however long that fuse lasts ;)....and you sure couldn't re-use it next year :D

Here (http://www.daviddfriedman.com/Medieval/miscellany_pdf/Other_Articles_V_Turban.pdf) are directions on how to wrap a turban.

I think a paper mache bomb with would be amusing as well.

I am fond of Putin or your least favorite politician.

Yes, dress up like a Talib or like Bin Laden himself. I just hope for you that you won't get arrested.:p

I vote for blacked-up face with massive painted lips while wearing a Nazi era uniform.

Another idea is paint your face light brown, wear an over-sized turban, perhaps place a red dot on your forehead. Wear a loincloth and shawl Gandhi style.

You could dress up as a child molester

I think that's taking it a step too far :(. How would one dress up as one anyway? Nevermind I don't want to know

I might go as Sigmund Freud. I would wear an old overcoat, smoke a cigar, sprinkle ample amounts of flour around my nostrils, and, in a thick German accent, interpret absolutely everything anyone says as some manifestation of the Oedipal complex.

What would be so politically incorrect about dressing up as an Islamic terrorist, Arab, Bin Laden, Mohammed, etc? Most provokation and mocking is tolerated at them or tolerated mostly for them, even maybe encouraged.

If you really want to be offensive and politically incorrect, Dress as a rebbe or so. Maybe throw on a yellow David's star and a Ka-tzetnik number tattoo as well. :p

I am struggling to hold my laughter looking at those two ominous-looking hooded guys on the right, whose body postures indicate that they're having casual small talk..."Howdy Fred, how's the missus?"

Pure comedy! :D
