Can anyone tell me what the History of my last name would be?? It is McAdams. And also what clan it is from. My bad i made 2 posts you cal delete one

The surname MacAdam belongs to the MacGregor clan, which dates back to the 12th century I believe.

My father lastname is Merthen and he is born in finland he says that it´s an old scottish name but im not so sure about that and that surname have been in his family for 300 hundred years

do any one have information about the surname merthen :)

I got all of them except for Steffey. It sounds like Steffi, so I thought it could have been Americanized.

Hopkins is English, I think it came over on the Mayflower. Williams is Welsh, but is one of the most common surnames in America, I think it's in the top 5.
Yvonne is probably French. Bailey is Irish.

Yvonne - I've never seen that as a surname before.:scratch I know that it's a French girl's name meaning "yew tree" or something of that nature.
Bailey - English/French
