Crime is a big problem these days in most western nations. "Experts" can talk all they want about declines in violent crimes and "all time low" crime rates overall, the situation is far from being all hunky dorey as they seem to want to portray it. Here in Sweden organized crime is spreading all across the country, to places where criminal activity used to be unheard of. Morals and values are erroding in all fields of society, gangs and organized crime is blossoming, the police and judicial system cannot deal effectively with the problem. Put shortly, the situation is out of controll.

How would you tackle the crime problem? Do you think crime is a problem at all or is it something we simply have to live with and can only marginally effect? Would you reform the police force, give them more extensive authorities? Are new laws and punishments necessary? Would you want to see some measures taken in other fields of society? The immigrant problem is of course an obvious area to deal with, but the native criminal element is also growing and needs to be dealt with.

In every society there is a small minority of deviants who commit the vast majority of crimes. Although it is impossible to produce a crime-free nation, you can drastically reduce crime if you have the will to remove persistent offenders from circulation.

I have been at trials in which an individual offender has asked for hundreds of offences to be 'taken into consideration' during the sentencing process (in the sure and certain knowledge that he'll receive little or nothing extra on any penalty). The police and the prosecutors like this arrangement as it enables them to claim that more crimes have been 'cleared up' - there have even been instances when British policemen have bribed criminals to take this route and improve the 'clear up rate' in their district.

If we met crimes (of all kinds) with zero tolerance, criminals would either get the message or be taken off the steets permanently. I personally think that 'useless eaters' like professional crooks should be liquidated - though it could be a good idea to make them work and thus repay Society in some way.

Sweden is suffering from massive non-European immigration and the crime rates are reflecting that.

My great-grandmother was born in Malmo which is now a total mess! Stop immigration and deport all you can! :mad
