Daanish Zahid was convicted after denying the charges

An Asian man has been convicted of the racially motivated murder of Glasgow schoolboy Kriss Donald.

Daanish Zahid, 20, had pleaded not guilty to assaulting, abducting and murdering Kriss in March. The teenager's burned and stabbed body was found on a walkway near the River Clyde in the east end of Glasgow. Zahid admitted being in a car at the scene where the 15-year-old was killed but said he did not leave the car and blamed two others for Kriss's death.

The murder - in which Kriss was knifed 13 times - occurred after another Asian man was hit on the head by a bottle outside a club the previous night, the trial heard. Community's shock at murder (http://forums.skadi.net/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnews.bbc .co.uk%2F1%2Fhi%2Fscotland%2F3519054.stm )

The jury took two-and-a-quarter hours to find him guilty by unanimous verdict of the charges of racially-aggravated murder, abduction and of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by destroying evidence by setting fire to the car used to snatch Kriss.

He was also convicted of attacking Kriss's friend Jamie Wallace, 20, as the pair walked along Kenmure Street in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow.

Kriss Donald's body was found in the east end of Glasgow

Daanish Zahid had denied murder, claiming Kriss was stabbed and beaten by others, but jurors decided that he had "acted in concert" and was therefore equally guilty. At the High Court in Glasgow, sentence was deferred for three weeks to allow reports on Daanish Zahid to be compiled.

On the first day of the trial, another accused, Zahid Mohammed, 20, whose not guilty plea to the murder charge was accepted, admitted abducting the teenager.

'Chop them up'

Giving evidence, Zahid Mohammed told the court that he was part of a group which had set out in a car to find a young, white male who fitted the description of someone who had carried out the bottle attack the previous evening. Mohammed said one of the occupants of the car said they would "chop them up and take their eyes out and stab them".

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40540000/jpg/_40540287_zahid203152.jpg
Zahid Mohammed recounted the details of the abduction

They came across Kriss and another teenager in Kenmure Street. Mohammed said he began to fight with the other youth, but Kriss was thrown into the car, placed in the rear seat well and driven away. As he was bundled into the car, Kriss begged: "Why me? I'm only 15."

The car was then driven on a 200-mile journey to Strathclyde Park, near Motherwell and to Dundee, before returning to Glasgow where Kriss was killed in what the prosecution described as a "callous execution". Forensic evidence was given which said that the teenager may have been alive when he had petrol poured on him and was set on fire. His naked and burned body was found the following morning by a man who thought it was an animal carcass.

Warrants have been issued for three other people, two of whom were incriminated in court by Daanish Zahid.

Statement from mother

Outside the court, Detective Superintendent Eliot Mackenzie read a statement on behalf of Kriss's mother Angela. The statement said: "I'd like to thank all those concerned with the inquiry into Chris's abduction and murder. "I'd also like to thank all the people who helped the police with their inquiries and particularly those who were called to give evidence.

A tribute to the teenager after he was abducted and killed

"I do not want to say much more because, as we all know, there are others who still have to face trial for killing Kriss. "Kriss meant everything to me, his sisters and his brother. "We get little comfort from this result and will not be able to move on until all those responsible have been brought to justice." A visit by British National Party leader Nick Griffin following the murder outraged anti-racism campaigners and politicians. But the community was determined not to be seen as divided - especially at Kriss's funeral when mourners, white and Asian, stood side-by-side to pay their last respects to the teenager.

The Kriss Donald murder media blackout

19th November 2004 - News article filed by Lee Barnes, LLB (Hons)

On the same day that the Zahid Mubarek Inquiry began with unprecedented media coverage across the country an Asian man was convicted in the Glasgow High Court of the racially motivated murder of Glasgow schoolboy Kriss Donald.

Daanish Zahid, 20, had pleaded not guilty to assaulting, abducting and murdering Kriss in March but was found guilty of the vile crime. Kriss Donald's burned and stabbed body was found on a walkway near the River Clyde in the east end of Glasgow. Kris had been stabbed thirteen times then set on fire. Whilst he was dying the lad had crawled fifty yards whilst on fire looking for someone to help him, but tragically non-one was around to aid him as he lay dying in a park.

Zahid admitted being one of the kidnappers in the car at the scene where the 15-year-old was killed but said he did not leave the car and blamed two others for Kriss's death.

The jury took two-and-a-quarter hours to find him guilty by unanimous verdict of the charges of racially-aggravated murder, abduction of a child and of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by destroying evidence by setting fire to the car the gang used to snatch Kriss.

He was also convicted of racially attacking Kriss's friend Jamie Wallace, 20, as the pair walked along Kenmure Street in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow. Both were targeted simply because they were white.

'Chop them up'

The gang had gone looking for a white child so they could "chop them up and take their eyes out and stab them". They came across Kriss and another teenager in Kenmure Street in Glasgow. As he was bundled into the car by the gang, Kriss begged them to stop screaming out: "Why me? I'm only 15."

The car was then driven on a 200-mile long journey to Strathclyde Park, near Motherwell and then on to Dundee, before returning to Glasgow where Kriss was tortured and killed in what the prosecution described as a "callous execution". He was beaten and tortured by the gang all the time he was held prisoner in the car.

Forensic evidence was given by the coroner which stated that the teenager was still alive when he had petrol poured on him and was set on fire. His naked and burned body was found the following morning by a man who thought it was an animal carcass dumped in the park.

Hiding in Pakistan

International arrest warrants have been issued for three other people, two of whom were incriminated in court by Daanish Zahid. So far Jack Straw has refused permission for the lawyers to fly to Pakistan and arrest the other three suspects who are hiding in Pakistan.

The day that the verdict of this racist killing of a white child by a gang of adult Asians was announced in court the whole of the British media did not cover the story at all. Yet the very same day the 17th November 2004 the media coverage of the Zahed Mubarek Inquiry was at total media saturation point. It seems that for the media the racist murder of a young Asian lad at the hand of white psychopath is newsworthy but the racist murder of a 15 year old white child by a gang of Asians is meaningless. Although there was headline coverage in Scottish newspapers such as “The Scotsman” and “Daily Record”, not a single English daily paper covered the story.

This is not the first time the double standard on reporting race attacks on whites has happened. The racist murders of young white lads Gavin Hopley and Ross Parker were not covered on the BBC at all when the verdicts were announced in court.

Dangerous Game

The media in Britain are playing a very dangerous game with their coverage of racist murders of whites. When any ethnic minority (a term no longer acceptable in contemporary Britain as in many of our cities and towns indigenous whites are now the ethnic minority) in Britain is killed by a ' white ' then this racist murder is front page news for weeks. One has only to see the hysteria that surrounded the murder of Stephen Lawrence to see how the ' politics of racism ' dictate the media and governments response to any murder. No public inquiries have been set up to investigate any of the countless murders of white people by ethnic minorities in Britain at any time, nor have th media ever called for public inquiries. Whilst the political issue of so called ' Institutional Racism ' is never far from the front page of the papers the equally valid issue of ' State and Government culpability' in the murders of whites killed by immigrants allowed to enter and live in Britain is never addressed. This is the form of government ' Institutional Racism ' against white people that they do not want us to ever address or debate.

The murders of indigenous whites in Britain by immigrants allowed to settle in Britain without a democratic mandate via a referendum from the British people legitimising successive governments to allow them in, is the ' Institutional Racism ' that we, the indigenous British people have suffered at the hands of the corrupt British State for decades.

The murders of Kriss Donald and Ross Parker and others would not have happened if successive British governments had not allowed mass immigration into Britain for the last fifty years. This is the ' Institutional Racism ' that impacts upon the indigenous white community that is never recognised nor is ever the subject of any public inquiries.

Whilst the C.R.E and other race relations groups hunt down the endless fey phantoms of ' Institutional Racism ' against ethnic minorities , we the White indigenous folk of this land and the horrors we face at the hands of immigrants are ignored, vilified and forgotten.

The Politics of Pressure Groups

Whilst ethnic minorities and immigrants communities have endless pressure groups to represent their interests both politically and legally not a single pressure group, legal aided law firm or charity operates to represent the interest of the indigenous whites in Britain. Whilst immigrant groups, refugee charities and asylum seeker groups all get hundreds of millions of pounds of lottery cash and government grants to fund their legal cases and social outreach operations, not a single penny of government money goes in supporting the indigenous white folk communities of Britain. Whilst the ethnic minority pressure groups and ethnic minority communities have the right to organise in their communities socially and politically the only mainstream social and political organisation that represents the interests solely of the indigenous white British folk communities , the BNP , is banned by the government from joining the Civil Service and the police. This is ' Institutional Racism ' of the most pernicious and vile kind.

The principle of multi-culturalism means that all communities have the right to organise politically and socially as a community. By denying the indigenous white British communities the same rights as all other immigrant and ethnic communities then the British government and state are themselves guilty of ' Institutional Racism ' against the indigenous white communities of Britain. By denying us the same rights as immigrant communities then we are the primary victims of State Racism. Part of this policy of racism against the indigenous folk of Britain is also apparent in the media.

Institutional anti-white racism

The BBC, ITV, the newspapers and the media groups are all ' Institutionally Racist ' against the indigenous folk communities of Britain.

The whole structure of the British state is rotten to the core. It is built upon the pernicious fascistic principle that suppressing the rights of the indigenous people of Britain is fundamental to ensuring the rights of immigrant communities resident in Britain. Whilst the rights of the indigenous British people are usurped and repressed by the British State, the rights of immigrant communities are encouraged, funded and promoted by the British State. Whilst the media minimise racial attacks upon whites by ethnic groups, they use attacks by individual whites on ethnic minority individuals as propaganda to increase the perception that the whole white community are all potential ' racist attackers ' and that they can never be the victims of race related crimes.

On the 17th November 2004 this sick and evil ' double standard ' was painfully exposed for all the world to see. In Britain the politics of ' race ' is used by the political elite as the moral mechanism for the removal of the civil rights of the indigenous British people.

Our demands

We demand - but we know we wont get - an Public Inquiry into the murder of Kriss Donald to discover and address the following issues and why the Scottish Executive has rejected calls for an inquiry into the racially-motivated murder after Glasgow police abandoned an operation to tackle the problem of Asian street gangs last year .Operation Gadher, set up to tackle the growth of Asian gang culture in the South Side of Glasgow, was dropped at the end of last year because it was not deemed politically correct. The Scottish Executive is refusing to carry out an inquiry into policing there and a spokeswoman for the Executive has said : "We have no plans to conduct such an inquiry. However, how the police conduct the matter is down to them.";

A) How did the suspects in the murder of Kriss Donald leave Britain and flee to Pakistan without the airports being aware of them doing so?

B) How can so called ' British citizens ' use their dual nationality status as a mechanism for evading justice abroad?

C) Why do no laws cover the immediate return of wanted murderers by warrant that have fled to countries where British immigration officers are issuing dual nationality passports?

D) Why does the British government award dual nationality passports to individuals whose second nationality is in a country whose basic legal systems do not guarantee a system and procedure so that wanted criminals in Britain who have fled British jurisdiction can be returned to Britain?

E) How many other individuals have used this loophole in immigration law and nationality law to evade British justice and are currently residing in foreign countries?

F) Who in the government should have legal responsibility for allowing in immigrants into the country that then kill?

G) Why are immigrants resident in Britain with dual nationality status who commit crimes not deported to the home nations?

H) How many immigrants with dual nationality status have been convicted of crimes in Britain in the last fifty years?

I) How many immigrants let into Britain as asylum seekers etc have been convicted of murder in Britain over the last fifty years?

J) How many members of the immigrant communities have been convicted of racist crimes against indigenous whites in Britain in the last fifty years?

K) How many public inquiries have their been into racist murders of whites in Britain in the last fifty years?

Three alleged killers of Kriss Donald could soon face justice

http://www.bnp.org.uk/images/bullets/spacer.gif
http://www.bnp.org.uk/images/bullets/spacer.gif
Three men wanted in connection with the racial murder of 15 year old Glasgow schoolboy, Kriss Donald will, within weeks, be extradited from Pakistan to face trial in Scotland.

Last year Strathclyde Police sought the extradition of Imran Shahid, Zeeshan Shahid and Muhammad Faisal following leads uncovered during their murder hunt. The request was declined by the Pakistani government because no formal extradition proceedings exist between the two countries.

Secret visit

However a recent secret visit by Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri to London played a key role in the completion of a Pak-UK extradition treaty, following demands from the British government to get Pakistan to commit to action in the global war against fundamentalist terrorism.

Yesterday (Thursday 11th) the three men appeared before a court in Islamabad to face an extradition hearing. They appeared flanked by armed police from Pakistan's elite Anti-Terrorism Unit and were restrained with chains. They have all been in custody in Rawalpindi prison for the past month and it is thought that the accused want to face trial in Scotland than spend any more time in the prison where conditions are reportedly brutal and harsher than a UK jail

Attack

On 15th March last year Kriss was abducted by a gang of five Pakistanis in Kenmure Street in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow and bundled into the back of a stolen Mercedes. He was driven by the gang around central Scotland on a bizarre journey of 200 miles, who later returned to Glasgow and on the Clyde Walkway they subjected the boy to a savage attack, kicking and punching him, then stabbing him 13 times and eventually setting him on fire. He tried to put out the flames by rolling in mud but his partially clothed body was discovered on the morning after his abduction behind the Celtic Supporters' Club in the city’s east end. So badly mutilated was the body that the passer-by thought it was the carcass of a dead animal.

In December one of the men involved, Daanish Zahid, 20, was jailed for a minimum of 17 years for the murder. A second man, Zahid Mohammed, 20, admitted racially aggravated assault and abducting the teenager but the Crown accepted his not-guilty plea to murder. He was jailed for five years. In court the two accused said that Kriss was chosen at random because he was white, and because they wanted to exact revenge after one of them had been struck by a bottle thrown by a white teenager in a nightclub the previous day.

Media coverage

At the time, the horrific racist murder of young Kriss hardly registered on the radar of the mainstream British press with only the main Scottish broadsheets, “The Scotsman” and “The Herald” providing coverage. The BBC even today has not one mention of the murder on its website, and please do not just take our word for it.

Try this and then once again examine your conscience when your TV licence reminder comes through the post.

Search the BBC archives (http://www.bbc.co.uk/) and clicking on “Search” in the top right corner.

Type in “Kriss Donald” (two “s”)
Note the number of results and how relevant those results are to the search.
Then type in “Stephen Lawrence” and note the number of results.

Two horrific racist murders, two grieving families, two lives lost in the madness of multicultural Britain, yet two different responses from the BBC, two extreme responses from the blinkered anti-white racists who have no shame yet who control what we see and read in the media.

Once these vermin are convicted they should be sent back to Rawalpindi to serve their sentence so they can be close to their families.

Once again the plight of this poor Scottish lad highlights the mediaís double standard regarding interracial crimes.

The request was declined by the Pakistani government because no formal extradition proceedings exist between the two countries. If a particular country is not willing to partake in an extradition treaty, then surely would it not be wise to prohibit itís nationals from staying in your country? On the presumption that if said nationals do commit a crime, it is so much easier for them to flee from justice.

Once these vermin are convicted they should be sent back to Rawalpindi to serve their sentence so they can be close to their families.Iíd prefer to send them somewhere where they will be closer to their Allah. Preferably using similar methods to those they carried out upon Kriss Donald.

Kriss Donald, we will not forget you! Nor the suffering you had to endure at the hands of these Pakis, before your young life was so tragically cut short.

BBC News.

Kriss Donald's partially-clothed body was found on the Clyde Walkway
The trial of three men accused of the abduction and murder of Kriss Donald has been halted after a key witness was unable to continue his evidence.

Jamie Wallace had been describing how he and his 15-year-old friend were attacked by Asian men as they walked in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow.

The 22-year-old had to pause four times as he told the High Court in Edinburgh about the events of 16 March 2004.

The three accused have denied racially-motivated murder.

The trial heard the attack came as Mr Wallace and Kriss walked down Kenmure Street.

In court he identified one of the accused, Imran Shahid, as the man who had attacked first, and called him "Baldy".

However, the trial also heard that in October last year Mr Wallace failed to pick out Mr Shahid in an identity parade.

The best thing to do, in view of the length of time he has been in the witness box, is to stop his evidence today and resume it tomorrow
Judge Lord Uist

Defence QC David Burns, for Mr Shahid, asked why Mr Wallace had not named "Baldy" as one of the attackers when he first spoke to police.

Mr Wallace agreed that at the time he did not know Baldy, and had not met him.

But he had "a reputation" he added.

The witness was also questioned about his drinking, his use of cannabis and prescribed medication and his mental state at the time of the incident, until the judge called a halt.

Lord Uist said: "You heard this witness in the course of his evidence asking for a break on several occasions and he asked for another break.

"I decided the best thing to do in the circumstances, in view of the length of time he has been in the witness box is to stop his evidence today and resume it tomorrow."

Before the halt, Mr Wallace said a Mercedes car had arrived in Kenmure Street during the fight.

I was trying to fight back and trying to watch myself - I was trying to distract them
Jamie Wallace

He said: "Two doors opened and they were trying to drag him (Kriss) into the car."

Mr Wallace said the attackers tried to punch him as well as his friend.

"I was trying to fight back and trying to watch myself. I was trying to distract them," he said.

He described how Kriss had tried to use his hands and feet to stop himself being dragged into the car, but his jacket was pulled over his head and he was bundled in.

"I seen them putting his head in first, then the two doors shut and they were sitting on him and punching him on the back," he said.

The trial has heard that his partially-clothed and scarred body was found the following day on the Clyde Walkway.

Mr Wallace said the Mercedes drove away and he crossed the street and told a woman who was pushing a pram.

Special defence

He then phoned a friend with the same news, went to his grandmother's house, then to a nearby shop to phone the police, the court heard.

Mr Burns suggested that at the time of the alleged abduction, Mr Wallace was drinking heavily, smoking cannabis and taking medication for paranoia.

Mr Wallace said: "That is the medication I was prescribed but I wasn't taking them."

Asked to describe his "paranoia", he said: "I get anxiety attacks and panic attacks."

Imran Shahid, 29, his brother Zeeshan Shahid, 29, and Mohammed Mushtaq, 27, have been accused of abducting Kriss, repeatedly slashing him with knives or similar instruments and setting him on fire after a drive to Dundee and back.

The charge against them alleges they were acting with two other men - Daanish Zahid, who is serving life for the murder, and Zahid Mohammed, 22 - who served half of a five-year sentence for assaulting Kriss and lying to police.

Imran Shahid has lodged a special defence blaming Daanish Zahid and Zahid Mohammed "and others" for the murder.

You should give some serious thought into moving to a Whiter neighborhood.
As one of two Whites on your street & as a woman you will eventually be the target of a racially motivated attack & your Asian (I assume South Asians/Muslims) neighbors will most likely not come to your defence. If you were in America you could own a handgun for protection but I am assuming this is an option in the UK.

The Kriss Donald Trial continues.
In today's Times, it is quoted that the court has been told that " Kriss would still be alive if he had been Chinese, Asian or African & that he was picked out simply because he was white"

The Scotsman
Kriss 'may have been alive when set ablaze '
JOHN ROBERTSON LAW CORRESPONDENT

THE murdered schoolboy Kriss Donald may have tried to douse flames on his body by rolling in mud, a court heard yesterday.

He had suffered numerous stab wounds, but it appeared he was still alive when he was set alight, a witness said. His mud-caked and badly burned body was found 50 yards from the spot where it was believed he had been attacked.

Ruth Ramage, a forensic scientist, said: "He may have tried to extinguish the flames by rolling in the mud."

Mrs Ramage said she had examined an area of the Clyde walkway, behind a Celtic supporters' club in Glasgow, where Kriss's body had been discovered in March 2004. The body lay on a grassy slope, next to the walkway and down from a dirt track where there were some newly felled trees.

She told the High Court in Edinburgh that the body was in a burned condition and had only the remains of some clothing on the lower half, and one Nike training shoe, on the right foot. There were "many stab wounds" and she noted a smell of petrol.

"Large amounts of soil were adhering to the deceased, and the soil was on top of burned areas," Mrs Ramage said.

She said one of the tree trunks about 50 yards up the slope from where the body lay had been charred, indicating that the body had possibly been lying across the log while burning. There were also bloodstains at the logs and on the dirt track between the logs and the grass slope. On the slope, she had seen fragments of burned clothing.

"In my opinion, the murder and the fire took place in the area of the logs. The deceased has then made his way from the logs across the grass to the position where the body was found... he was still alive when he was burning," Mrs Ramage said.

She said one reason for mud to overlay the burns could be that, while still alive, Kriss was trying to extinguish the flames by lying on the moist ground.

She said: "At that time, there had been a lot of rain, and there was water and mud at the side of the Clyde path. He may have tried to extinguish the flames by rolling in the mud."

Mrs Ramage said she had also examined a burnt-out Mercedes car, which had been set on fire in a lane near the Hillhead underground station.

The remains of a left Nike training shoe had been recovered from the car, and it and the training shoe from the body had the same sole pattern.

Imran Shahid, 29, his brother Zeeshan Shahid, 29, and Mohammed Faisal Mushtaq, 27, deny abducting Kriss, 15, in Pollokshields, Glasgow, bundling him into a car and murdering him at the Clyde walkway on 15 March, 2004.

At a trial in 2004, Daanish Zahid, 22, was convicted of the murder and jailed for life and ordered to serve at least 17 years before he could apply for parole. A fifth man, Zahid Mohammed, 22, pleaded guilty to a role in the abduction and to attempting to pervert the course of justice by giving a false statement to police. He was jailed for five years.

Everyone had expected the verdict of the Kriss Donald trail today but the jury are now sitting overnight, which aghasts me, it seems so cut and dried.

There are helicopters circling around overhead and police, both mounted and on foot, on every corner round here, the tension between the two communities is electrifyingly palpable.

Three men have been found guilty of the racially motivated murder of white Glasgow teenager Kriss Donald.

Mohammed Faisal Mushtaq, 27, Zeeshan Shahid, 28, and his brother Imran Shahid, 29, had denied the charge.

However, a jury at the High Court in Edinburgh convicted the men of the abduction and murder.

The 15-year-old schoolboy was snatched in Pollokshields, stabbed and then set on fire in March 2004. The trio are due to be sentenced later today.

Kriss was knifed 13 times and burns covered 70% of his body.
The jury took more than eight-and-a-half hours to find the three men guilty of the charges of racially-aggravated murder and abduction.
Kriss' body was found in the east end of Glasgow.

'Terrible ordeal'

He was abducted in Kenmure Street, Pollokshields on 15 March, 2004.

The car was then driven on a 200-mile journey to Strathclyde Park, near Motherwell and to Dundee, before returning to Glasgow where Kriss was murdered.
Forensic evidence was given which said that the teenager may have been alive when he had petrol poured on him and was set on fire.

Another man, Daanish Zahid, 20, is serving a minimum of 17 years for murdering Kriss after he was found guilty at a previous trial.

A fifth man, Zahid Mohammed, 22, served half of a five-year sentence after he admitted he had abducted Kriss.

He gave evidence at the trial of the Shahid brothers and Mushtaq.

The brothers and Mushtaq had fled to Pakistan after murdering Kriss. It would be more than a year before they agreed to return and stand trial, after warrants were issued for their arrest.

Surprised to find this on the BBC, It should recieve far higher coverage, and should have recieved far greater coverage from the get-go.

I wonder if they'll really serve that long in jail. More than likely, the 'human rights' (criminal rights) brigade will get them out before then....

Three men have been jailed for life after they were found guilty of the racially-motivated murder of white Glasgow teenager Kriss Donald. Faisal Mushtaq, 27, Zeeshan Shahid, 28, and his brother Imran Shahid, 29, had denied murdering Kriss, 15, in 2004.

Kriss's mother Angela - quiet during the trial - shouted: "You bastards," as the jury delivered its verdict. Imran Shahid must serve a minimum of 25 years, Zeeshan Shahid, 23 years minimum and Mushtaq, at least 22 years. Outside the court, Ms Donald, 42, thanked police, the prosecution and witnesses.

She said: "Justice has been done, thank you - it is over." The six week trial had heard that her son had shouted: "I'm only 15, what have I done?" as he was dragged from the street and into a car. The gang took him on a 200-mile journey to Dundee and back while they made phone calls looking for a house to take him to.

Having no success, they returned to Glasgow and took him to the quiet Clyde Walkway, near Celtic FC's training ground. There, they held his arms and stabbed him 13 times before dousing him with petrol and setting him alight while he may still have been alive. The jury of nine women and six men took about eight-and-a-half hours to reach its verdict.

Imran Shahid was found guilty by a unanimous verdict and the other two guilty by majority verdicts. Sentencing, Lord Uist described Imran Shahid as "a thug and bully with a sadistic nature not fit to be free in civilised society". He said Imran Shahid, known as Baldy, was the leader of the expedition.

"It was pre-meditated cold blooded execution, it truly was an abomination," Lord Uist added. "The savage and barbaric nature of this crime has rightly shocked the public. "Racially aggravated violence from whatever quarter will not be tolerated in Scotland."

'Horrendous crime'

Eyewitness accounts of the abduction, statements said to have been made by the accused, mobile phone records and forensic evidence against one of the men helped secure the convictions. Kriss was stabbed 13 times and burns covered 70% of his body.

His death triggered an investigation that lasted more than two years and took detectives around Scotland and to Pakistan. Asst Ch Const John Malcolm, of Strathclyde Police said: "As a force we would like to extend our personal thanks to Kriss's family for their co-operation, support and their understanding as the true nature of this horrendous crime unfolded.

"It is also important to acknowledge the support of the broader community. "Everyone came together to support and inform our investigation, and through these actions, the community made it very clear that this sort of violence is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any community."

Kriss was abducted near his home in a random act of racially motivated revenge by the gang on 15 March, 2004. The Shahid brothers and Mushtaq had fled to Pakistan after murdering him. It was more than a year before they agreed to return and stand trial, after warrants were issued for their arrest.

'Defenceless boy'

During the trial, prosecutor Mark Stewart QC described the killing as "an appalling crime of inhumanity against a defenceless boy". Over 27 days, the court heard how Kriss's badly burnt and semi-naked body was found by a cyclist on the secluded Clyde Walkway the morning after he was snatched from the street.

Expert witnesses said they believed the 15-year-old was still alive as his body burned.

Mr Stewart revealed that all three had criminal records - including serious violence in the case of Huddersfield-born father-of-two Imran Shahid. He was jailed for four-and-a-half years at the High Court in Glasgow in May 1995 for serious assault and was sentenced to 30 months in February 2003 for assault to danger of life and dangerous driving.

Mushtaq's record, mostly for road traffic offences, also includes assaults. Zeeshan Shahid has served an 18-month sentence for culpable and reckless conduct and reckless damage.

I would like to live in a country where crimes against white people are actually seen for what they are...hate crimes. Thank goodness his mother has some comfort in seeing these animals punished.

This is truly grotesque. These thug arab types are in ever-growing numbers all over the Unites States, my area included. In fact, a friend of mine had an altercation with one about a month ago.

Death sentences for everyone involved is the only suitable verdict for this case. May these arrogant, autocratic, verminous Paki scumsuckers be sodomized and brutalized in the most horrific ways during their stay in prison.

One of the men who killed Kriss Donald was out of prison on early release when he murdered the Glasgow teenager.

Imran Shahid was sentenced to 30 months in February 2003 for assault to danger of life and dangerous driving.
Shahid, 29, who had also been in prison for assault in 1995, was released after nine months and went on to kill 15-year-old Kriss three months later.

One more indication that Islam is a "religion of peace" and that they quite obviously want us no harm.

BUt at least justice has indeed been done for once. THough repatriation to some Arab country or another would really have been the appropriate measure of punishment...
