frequently, the "advanced search"
will yield only "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
for hours on end.

when i a searching for a unique word
or phrase that i know
is contained in a specific post
whose address i desire -

i wonder
what is the problem?

Works fine for me. What keywords did you use? Did you put them in quotation marks? Did you set all search options in a correct way?

or presents inappropriate search results.

for example:
the word "evolved" is not in this post (http://www.forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?p=91144#post91144).

No, but in the first one of the thread this post is in. Probably you chose "show results as threads"?

Again: With which keywords did you had problems?

I noticed this problem too. There is something wrong with the search function.

Probably you chose "show results as threads"?i am looking for specific posts,
so, i always click-on "show results as posts".

if the search is fruitless,
i will do a general search
which frequently produces inappropriate results.

I was rebuilding the search indexes yesterday, and the process did not finish (this is a server-intensive process which takes a few hours to complete).

Works fine for me.naturally, it recognises your queenliness. :bow00002:
Did you put them in quotation marks?phrases or singular words?
that improves the search results?

my ignorance is showing. :icon_redf

if i desire to read all twenty-nine hundred
of blutwölfin's posts,

the "profile page" will offer only five hundred.

if i limit my satisfaction
to the threads that she started,

the "profile page" will offer only five hundred
(less than three-months worth).

how can i find
all of the posts from a member?

are the search-indices being rebuilt (http://www.forums.skadi.net/showpost.php?p=140668&postcount=7),
right now?

i ask because the "advanced search"
yields no results, for me,
right now.

I had problems too.
