Wassail and glad Yule-tide all on the forum!

May all pass a holy Mother Night on this 1st day of Yule-tide!

This from my kindred Vidarshof to all Folk on this holy-tide:

The wheel wends forth as yule-wights wander, Walks the earth the Etin folk, On the troll-wise trail travels the witch who rides the wolf with serpent reigns ...

The wheel wends forth as frost-giants fall, Fatally wounds the fire-eyed Thor, Through bleak and blackness Bolvork rides the road to hel, Henceforth fares the Wild Hunt's leader ...

The wheel wends forth in the frost-cold wind, Waxes Gullinbursti the gold-bright boar, In battle-armor Ingvi shall stand with the horn of a stag and the hoard of heroes which hail from the past ....

The wheel wends forth as the high-mountain warder hews down with sword Bergelmir's sibs, Blinds the darkness the breaking dawn, Drives back the Jonar from the Bi-frost Bridge ....

The wheel wends forth and so shall the sun rise again!

Vidarshof of the Highland Rim: Jarnulf, Jul, Donske, Saxon/Matt, Kenneth,Beowulf, and the wolves - Sigmund & Yrsa; want to wish a God Jol to all our fellow heathens near and far!

Coming just before the winter solstice, Mother Night is when the new year is born. The traditional twelve days of Yule begin now. This is a season for honoring the family line and rejoicing in the sun's renewal. Celebrate Yule with all the ancient trimmings, such as wreaths of evergreen, a "Christmas" tree, and good cheer. Visit kin. Tell your children family stories and show them photos of their ancestors. Drink a toast to the God Frey, and to the reborn sun.
