1.What time do you go to sleep?

2.How many hours of sleep do you average a day?

3.Do you take naps?

1.Midnight is still considered early for me.:coffee: :D I'm a night owl and sometimes I stay up until the birds chirp.

2.As of late 4-5 hours. I've found I need less as I get older. Besides Caffeine and Poker make great substitutes. In my early teens if I didn't get a good 7-8hours I would be groggy the whole day.

3.I usually don't. The last time I took naps regularly I was in Kindergarden and it usually took place after lunch.

1. It depends on when I have to wake up the following day. I try to get to bed 7 hrs before I have to wake up. If I have a day off the next day, I go to bed when I feel like it -- or don't go at all.

2. Anywhere between 6-12 hrs.

3. If I feel like it and can spare the time.

I go to sleep whenever my body will allow it, generally around 4am... oftentimes, though, (not by choice) I go a couple days without sleeping.

Most "nights" it's 2-4 hours, but usually one day a week I wind up sleeping for about 12-15 hours, which in turn completely screws my sleeping regimen up for the rest of the week... it's a brutally vicious cycle. :P

Naps? sometimes. As I said, I often go days without sleeping and because of this I've been known to just curl up wherever I'm at and catch a much needed rest. In fact, a couple of nights ago, I was so overcome with sleepiness while driving home from work that I had to pull over and sleep for a couple of hours in my car... I just couldn't see to drive anymore. :shrugani: The first car accident I ever got in was a result of falling asleep at the wheel, so now I really don't take any chances.

1. That depends on what I have to do the next day, and how long I've been up before. In short, it's too complicated and I can't answer this one.

2. I need *at least* 8 hours to be fully functional. If it was less then my mental and physical potential is limited on that day.

3. I try to avoid taking naps, but's sometimes it's just too tempting when my girlfriend crawls my hair. :O

I was discussing sleeping patterns with someone today and I'm curious how 21st century folk handle sleep on average.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?
Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?
Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?
Do you take naps?
What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?
Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?
How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

Well... Point by point:

- I sleep maximum eight hours a day, when I finally get to sleep. Mostly it is six hours. I usually get to bed at 04:00 (4:00 PM, I think.)
-When I finally get to sleeping, I sleep without interruptions. Nothing can stir me from my dreams! :D
- I usually remember my dreams everyday, and that is a curse...
- Nope, I never nap. I hate napping.
- Usually naked (Hoho, yeah. :P) but when my girlfriend is here, I sleep with my boxer on. Must restrict myself, haha. :D
- I drink a glass of milk while i smoke a sigarette. Then brush my teeth.
- I lasted for six or seven days without sleep. And when I then collapsed of exhaustion, I slep for an hour or two before staying awake for several days again. I suffered from insomnia. But with the correct medication and therapy, blissfull sleep came again!

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?

Usually between five and six hours, although sometimes less. It is always at night; I cannot sleep during the day.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

I wake up constantly, usually half a dozen times a night. This started a few years ago, and has been getting progressively worse.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

Yes, more often than not. I have an excellent memory of dreams, and can recall some which occured years ago quite clearly.

Do you take naps?

No.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

A number of things.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Not exactly, aside from brushing teeth and related mundane activities.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

The longest I can last is rougly 48 hours, which is also my personal record (jet-lagged in London after a particularly bad flight). The longest I've slept is in the range of eight to nine hours.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?
Usually 3-4 hours (between 4 a.m & 8 a.m most often).

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?
I wake up once or twice. If I mange to sleep longer than usual I always wake up for an hour or two and then go back to bed for an hour or two.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?
I usually start dreaming as soon as I get to sleep. I have very vivid (often lucid) dreams which I always remember. My wife rarely remembers her dreams, which tends to be disappointing because I always want to talk about and compare dreams.

Do you take naps?
Not very often.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?
It varies from completely buff to PJs to whatever I was wearing that day.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?
Aside from the basic hygienic stuff I often read at bedtime or do philosophical/metaphysical type thinking.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?
About 5-6 days without. I was having sleep paralysis for awhile there and it really put me off sleeping. I have no idea what the longest I've ever slept in was, but It wasn't all that long-probably in the neighborhood of 9-10 hours if I was sick or something.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?
2-12 hours on average, usually at night, but often during the day.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?
Depends. I usually get up maximum once per night if I'm healthy. If I'm sick I either sleep through anything and everything or get up 90 times per night to do sick people stuff.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?
Oh yeah, I dream. Probably every time I sleep. I used to rmemeber my dreams more, but when I don't sleep properly (now) I don't so much. Once I get back on a normal sleeping schedule, I'll remember my dreams again.

Do you take naps?
Yes. I am the nap-master. The napster.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?
Whatever makes the most sense at the time. I don't have an aversion to wearing what I wore during the day to bed, so long as it's comfy. So usually I have to ditch at least the bra. I like my pajamas though, and I'm impartial to flannel pants. In warm weather, obviously less pajamas are better.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?
I do something different each time, but I almost always set some sort of sleeping intention, like, "I'm going to wake up at 5 and feel totally refreshed."

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?
The longest I went without sleep was a bit over a week. And yes, I did play video games and computer games. Typically, though, I can last a few days if I'm staying active (weird, huh), but if I'm just sitting there I zonk within a day. The longest time I slept while healthy was probably about 20 hours, while unhealthy... probably about 35 or so.

I have always had trouble sleeping. A six-pack was the answer for years when I had to force myself to sleep and then get up at 5:00 AM. After years of that my body now will sleep as long as it can. I could sleep 24 hours with no problem without interruptions. But normally, all I get is about 8 hours. I do dream and they are usually dreams I wouldn't like to repeat but not nightmares. For example, one recurring dream is that I have signed up for a college course but forgotten to attend classes and I am now facing finals. I have a video of an old guy explaining something in a slow, methodical way which always puts me to sleep. I play the video whenever possible. They sell audios and videos designed to put people to sleep and I always promise myself to buy one but never do. There do seem to be many night people at The Althing.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?
8 hours at night.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?
Usually like a baby.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?I rarely ever remember dreams & when I do they are usually stupid.

Do you take naps? I have no time for naps.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep? It depends on the time of year & whether we have company sleeping over. Seeing how I have 4 boys (no daughters) modesty is not an issue, just comfort & warmth.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)? I don't consume chocolate after 7:00 PM because it has caffeine. Generally I take a shower at least an hour before going to bed as I have trouble going directly to sleep right after a shower. If I have to get up early I take a sleep aid or cold medicine to help me go to sleep early.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?[/LIST] The longest I've been without sleep is about 40 hours. The longest I've ever slept was about 20-22 hours.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?

On average I would say about 4 hours, sometimes I have a 1/2 - 1 hour rest before work as well. Generally I go to sleep between 8am and 11am each day.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions? I wake to go toilet. Certain things will also wake me.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

I have stages of vivid terrible dreams, so real that when I wake I believe them to be reality. Other times I can go for weeks without dreaming, sometimes I have epic dreams of which I have been able to take a lot from for my writing.

Do you take naps?

It depends how sore my eyes are generally.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

It depends on the weather, generally boxer shorts.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Sometimes I perform a sacrifice offered to the great tentacles of Cthulhu.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

About 3 days has been the longest without sleep so far. I think the longest I slept was about 12 hours and that was due to being sick and passing out a lot.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day? I sleep during the night and I average 7 hours.
Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions? I tend to sleep without interruptions. Though, I'll usually wake up during my sleep cycle.

How many hours do you sleep on average?

Weekdays: 3-4
Weekends: 6-7

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

I wake up about an hour or two before I need to wake up. Then I rest for the remainder of the time.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

I dream every night, and I have a few recurring dreams, one of which I've had since I was four or five. I remember my dreams very well. They're all very surreal and sometimes really effed up ><.

Do you take naps?

Sometimes in between classes, I lie down or sleep for 10 minutes.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

It depends on my mood. T-shirt and loose pants, t-shirt and underwear, or just nothing.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Turn off the lights, check the lock, set my alarm, switch it on. Play my Nintendo DS or read for around 20-30 minutes. Panic, check my lock, check my alarm, and then go back into bed. This panic procedure may be repeated more than once.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

I have lasted something around 60 hours or so without sleep but I wouldn't do it again. Normally I can last two days or so. The longest time I've slept is maybe 12-15 hours.

Badly, from the answers many are giving! I'm honestly shocked that you're all alive and well! I actually had to leave my last job for the damage it was doing my sleep patterns. :(

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?
Depends on work, naturally, but ideally I opt for the traditional 8. I can do 9 or 10 if I'm not disturbed however. Left to my own devices, without the pressure of having to be somewhere at 9am I would stay up till around 2am and sleep till 10/midday some time.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?
Like the proverbial log, or corpse! :p

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?
Occasionally. Some good, some weird, some awful. Not too common, the latter sort, thank the Gods, but now and then. Had a dreadful one about a month ago. Very odd, as I never watch scarey films, and don't even agree with the release of half of them that seem to be coming out these days, but with the stuff my mind cooks up on occasion I might as well try out making a living writing the scripts!

Do you take naps?
No but I feel I should give it a try. Had a bit of one this afternoon, for curiosity's sake, and must admit I felt worse afterwards. :(

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?
When in England I sleep with my dog, and so have to wear tshirt and shorts. Otherwise, and when certain of the hygeine of the bed, I can do without. :p

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?
Not really, just the usual pray to Mekka... ;)

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?
I can miss a night, but will make up for it the next.

Anyone here read much Douglas Adams? I used to years ago, and I remember one interesting idea there in the 'Mostly Harmless' book - an Earth-like planet, but with the advantage of a 25 hour day. I think that would suit me to the ground! A nice little lie-in everyday. :D Don't people in sunless underground bunkers revert to such a timetable, as I think I read somewhere?

I sleep for 8-10 hours usually. I never understood people who get up before 11 when they don't have to. I have work in the library at college Tues. and Thurs. 8:30 - 10AM which is a bit of a pain.

I can usually get to sleep quickly about 80% of the time. In bed at night is usually the one time when I can relax. The thinking becomes lucid and I can breathe deeply.

I remember my dreams every now and again, they are usually physical dreams. Sexual and tactile dreams are my favorite. I have not tried melatonin to see just how effective it is for dreaming.

I usually wear boxers or nothing to bed, pajamas are just something annoying to take off when you wake up.

I can go a day without sleep, but then I usually start having mild hallucinations.

I was discussing sleeping patterns with someone today and I'm curious how 21st century folk handle sleep on average.

I sleep about 7 hours

I take naps during the day in summer, usually after lunch.

I sleep like a baby.

I do not remember my dreams, but I do dream.

I am usually naked in bed.

I do not have any rituals before sleep.

I really need my sleep. I can go without sleep for 28 hours or so, but I would need much more than bit of caffeine and some nasty spirits to actually do that comfortably, and I am not supposed to do that, but it does happen. Not sure if I have a record. I remember sleeping for more than 12 hours once. I woke up thinking that I had just had a little nap as the sun had set and risen whilst I had been sleeping.

I want to try melatonin, because I do not sleep so effectively sometimes.

8 hours of sleep seems no longer to be the ideal...

How Much Sleep Do You Really Need?

Sleep is one of the richest topics in science today: why we need it, why it can be hard to get, and how that affects everything from our athletic performance to our income. Daniel Kripke, co-director of research at the Scripps Clinic Sleep Center in La Jolla, Calif., has looked at the most important question of all. In 2002, he compared death rates among more than 1 million American adults who, as part of a study on cancer prevention, reported their average nightly amount of sleep. To many his results were surprising, but they've since been corroborated by similar studies in Europe and East Asia. Kripke explains.

*6.5-8.5
*I usually sleep through the night
*Until one month ago, I pretty much never had a dream that I remembered in my adult life. Then I quit smoking pot temporarily for a job and I've been having them quite often.
*Not usually but I've been having to wake up at 5:00 a.m. lately which I'm not used to so I usually sleep for 3 or 45 minutes around 6 p.m. Probably will stop once I get used to it.
* I like to eat something small, drink a beer, and watch tv or go on the internet and be alone for a few minutes before I get in bed.
*I've gone five days without sleeping, although i think i probably was having microsleeps, where you fall out for a minute or two without realizing it.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?

I am not happy with less than 7 or 8 hours of sleep, I could sleep 10 hours a night if they'd let me...;)

I sleep at night now, but I went through a long time when I wanted to sleep during the day and stay up all night. I always felt more comfortable and awake actually at night...:shrug

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

Usually, I don't wake up much. Only if someone wakes me up or a dream wakes me up. Sometimes I talk to myself in my sleep, like if its a bad dream, I wake up remembering me telling myself to wake up if I am scared in the dream.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

I dream every night it seems. Yes, I usually remember them.

Do you take naps?

Naps are heavenly.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Yes, but I can't mention them here ;)

I don't wanna know how long I can last without sleep, and the longest time I slept is probably 12 hours, longer than that when sick.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?

If I'm working I normally get to bed by 4 or 5 am and if I'm at uni have to get up at 9am or 10am so that's 5 hours, on days when I'm not working or at uni I'll catch up and spend 12 hours in bed although I'm probably only asleep for 10 or so

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

normally I sleep all the way through, however I'm a light sleeper and can be woken by noises, though I normally get back to sleep easily, the only exception is when I'm drunk and then I can't sleep at all.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

Yes but I normally only remember them on the days where I spend more than 10 hours in bed

Do you take naps?

No they make me feel tired

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

nothing

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Yup I'm doing it now :) computer all the way

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

60 hours is probably the record although I think I may have had a half hour nap in there somewhere, I find an accumulation of a lack of sleep more tiring than the odd all nighter. The longest time I've slept about 20 hours, I had a bad reaction to a general anaesthetic and couldn't get out of bed for nearly 3 days.

-i can go almost 24 hours without sleep.. usually happens on road trips, things of that nature. i've been known to sleep 12 hours or more after an intense workout and a long night out :D
-before bed i like to either put a hot towel over my face, shower/bath, or read
-what i wear or don't wear to bed is personal ;)
-naps only if i was out/up late.. then the next day usually calls for a nap after work
-sometimes i have weird dreams.. and wake up thinking how odd my dream was. then go back to sleep and can't remember a thing about it later on. which sucks because my dreams feel like movies. some days i don't recall having any dreams at all.
-when i stay up past my "bedtime" i sleep like a baby. and days where i don't use all of my energy i usually wake up throughout the night.
-sleep at night, with about 5-8 hours..

as you can see it varies for me.. depends on the occasions.

1) On average I am unsure of how many hours I actually get. I sleep at night with the occasional crash-and-burn nap some days.

2) I wake up if a pin falls. The princess and the pea.

3) I dream on occasion. When I dream they are usually odd dreams. If I do dream, then I always remember them.

4) I do take an occasion nap when my body gets so tired that I have a need to crash.

5) What do I wear when I sleep? :ccolor That's a bit personal.

6) Bedtime ritual these days: get dressed/ undressed for bed (not telling what I wear), take my hair down, use the bathroom, wash hands, brush teeth, wash hands, talk to the baby as she "dances", change her, wash hands, turn out lights, nurse baby, put her in crib, lay down for sleep.

7) I can last a while without sleep. Not near as long as when I was young. In high school I would get terrible bouts of insomnia. The longest I have ever slept? One time, after a traumatic event, I slept for 2 days (minus bathroom breaks and if I recall correctly).

How many hours do you sleep on average? I usually sleep about seven hours every day.

Do you sleep at night or during the day? Well, I get off work at about 4AM and go to bed right after and then sleep until 12 or so.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions? I'll usually wake up two or three times.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams? For years I didn't think that I dreamt at all, but as it turns out one I started making a conscious effort to remember my dreams, I was able to do so. However, it is still quite an effort for me to remember my dreams.

Do you take naps? I've never really been able to nap.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep? No comment ;)

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)? Umm...I have actual rituals that I perform as part of a training program prior to going to bed, but that's probably not what you're asking about.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept? I ran a test one time to see how long I could stay awake. I lasted four days until the hallucinations were making it dangerous for me to continue doing so.

How many hours do you sleep on average? Depends, 6-10

Do you sleep at night or during the day? Day, mostly. I love the night.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions? Wake up at night, I own ferrets, they do not understand sleep schedules.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams? I dream only of darkness and emotions.

Do you take naps? No, I will end up sleeping 6 hours.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep? Not much.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)? Kissing my wife and telling her to stop hogging the covers.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept? 46 hours awake, 20 sleeping.

How many hours do you sleep on average?

Varies widely

Do you sleep at night or during the day?

Would much rather during the day, circumstances (school, work) generally dictate the night

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

Sometimes wake up periodically, sometimes not at all

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

When I have dreams, usually don't remember

Do you take naps?

Sometimes. When not having had sleep for a while, even going in and putting my head down on the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom for 20 minutes is enough to keep me going at school/work.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

Not much, except when other people are in the same room with me, in which case I usually where what I wore during the day, even with a new girl I wear clothes for the first couple few days

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Used to be kinda OCD about drinking water/using bathroom, not really anymore.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

Depends. I once went almost 50 hours without sleep on a boy scout campout in my late teens (by chance finally going to bed at the exact same time as the fatass adult in the bunk above me wet his bed), once slept almost a full 24 hours in my early after getting extremely drunk (including spitting the neighbors car for once again stealing our parking spot and having him come over and punch our window out)

How many hours do you sleep on average?

I wake up about an hour before I get up so I'd say six.

Do you sleep at night or during the day?

Night.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

I wake up every time I move ( or my wife moves )..which is a lot. I'm always blowing my nose or spitting. Sometimes I go to sleep with snuff in my mouth and I'll wake up and spit and figure on leaving it there and go back to sleep and wake up and spit and finally get rid of it and then my nose gets stopped up because I always lay on one side, so I put nose spray in it and I put to much because it's all stopped up and it starts burning and that keeps me up. By then I got about an hour, so I lay on the side I can't sleep on ( trying to get the nose to drain some ) and hug and smell my wife ( out of my one good nostril ), which by then I'm wide awake, running Nietzsche and The Nine Noble Virtues through my head as I get ready to make and eat my sandwich of the day.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

I dream. I remember more than enough of them it seems sometimes. They are not always very pleasant. They seem to all be variations of a few different themes ( heck..let's call them motifs ) in a made up world which I know my way around in.

Do you take naps?

Sometimes I lay down after dinner at work on the ground or some logs but I don't really go to sleep, I just lay there and listen to the quiet, relax, and let whatever I ate soak into me.

I've also been seen getting drunk and passing out for several hours.

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

Panties.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Many.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

When I was younger I'd make two days into one ( I guess that's 36 hours.. or so )

The second time I had to ever sleep alone out in the woods I stayed up till the third night.

That's about it..:)

Later,

How many hours do you sleep on average? Do you sleep at night or during the day?

I usually get about 4-7 hours of sleep per night, which never seems like enough.

Do you wake up at all or "sleep like a baby", without interruptions?

I'm a light sleeper and I envy those who can sleep like the dead.

Do you dream? How often do you dream? Can you remember your dreams?

Yes, I dream every night and I (usually) look forward to dreaming! I always remember my dreams, even those from many years ago, which can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the night.

Do you take naps?

Yes, sometimes I take quick naps on the bus ride home. I find catnaps very refreshing!

What do you usually like to wear when you go to sleep?

Something loose fitting and made out of cotton.

Do you have any "rituals" before going to sleep (such as taking a shower or drinking a glass of milk)?

Yes, I make an examination of conscience, bless myself with holy water and say three Hail Marys.

How long can you last without sleep? What is your personal record? What about the longest time you slept?

I don't do well without sleep, and the longest I've gone without sleep is about 36 hours. The longest I've ever slept is perhaps nine or ten hours when I was very ill.

My sleeping pattern is utterly messed up nowadays. I can feel so tired and sleepy during the afternoon, that I some times have trouble staying awake. And when night falls, I often can't sleep until early in the morning. I find I have an easier time sleeping if I work with physical labor every day.

I reluctantly comply with my biorhythms. When my body demands those little slices of death called sleep, I pop a 50mg prescription tablet called Trazodone before venturing off to the land of vivid and mostly horrible nightmares that haunt me for 5-7 hours; until I gratefully awaken in the morning, usually feeling as if I've been kicked all over by angry mules.

Thankfully, I have someone who often sacrifices her normally restful sleep to hold me through the worst of these terrible nights.

@Gareth: Do you believe these nightmares to be connected with your sleeping pills?

Though possible, I couldn't find this adverse effect to be among the other listed side-effects. But I just contacted my PHCP about quitting this medication altogether, since I don't think it's that effective anyway.

I suppose I generally sleep longer than average. But not always so good. And if I dream, I don't remember them.

I just wish my hubby could sleep better, and not have such bad dreams. :(
