Who can be offended by a little pink cartoon character?http://www.bnp.org.uk/images/bullets/spacer.gifhttp://www.bnp.org.uk/images/bullets/spacer.gif Things get dafter by the day.Today is the first of October, but news from the West Midlands suggests it could be the first of April, but the only fools are the chumps who have completely lost the plot at Dudley Council.

In a bid to avoid offending Muslims who work in or deal with the council benefit department, the Conservative controlled Council has ordered a ban on novelty items featuring pigs! Yes indeed, products including toys, porcelain, calendars and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and his cute and harmless friend Piglet must be removed or covered up, staff have been instructed.

The banning orders were issued after a Muslim worker complained. He said they were offended by some items at Dudley Council in the West Midlands. The partner of one worker in the department said, "It's caused a bit of atmosphere in the office. The staff did comply but it's just crazy. Ornaments that have been for years have been removed."

Holy festival

The council's head of finance said ONE member of staff had been offended by the products in the run-up to the holy festival of Ramadan, which starts on Tuesday 4th October. He said the decision whether the items should be allowed after Ramadan will be taken after the festival is over.

"It's a tolerance of people's beliefs," said Mahbubur Rahman, a Labour Muslim Councillor who has backed the ban.

What must be going on in the minds of those charged with looking after our councils? If ONE Muslim is offended by cartoon characters and parts of our popular culture, then instead of kneeling before the Will of Allah, our public officials should just have a good laugh and suggest the gentlemen looks for the cheapest flight to a country where the display of such items is not a part of that country’s culture

Yeah, right :coffee:

One thing that still manages to piss me off is the pathological
dishonesty these swines display. Is it too hard for them to just say that
this is all about Lebensraum really? :aballern: :violent-s

I remember reading about the 1901 Muslim insurrection in the Phillipines that was put down by American troops under General "Black Jack" Pershing. Seems the Americans captured 8 terrorists, 7 were tied to stakes, the eighth was shown how the bullets were dipped in lard before chambering into the rifles, the muslims were then shot, their bodies were wrapped in pigskins, and thrown in a hole with their feet pointing towards Mecca (a muslim no-no) and the survivor released with insructions to tell his compatriots what he had seen. Supposedly the uprising then lost it's impetus.:coffee:

As for as dealing with the non-muslims in Europe, I can't help you there.

Unless you want to hear how British Army Captain, later Colonel, Sleeman dealt with the murderous Thuggee cult.

That was a quick request:)

There were a lot of informers, so the worst of the Thuggee took short rides on shorter ropes, but it was somehow ascertained that their anti-social behavior was genetically-caused. So Sleeman basically exterminated them which is why there is not a lot of info about the situation out there, but in a Poliically-correct, polite, manner. Namely, all ethnic Thuggee of all ages were rounded up, and the males confined to one area and the females to another until they were, well, gone:cool:

As I look at a map of the Caribbean, I see 2 major islands, Cuba and Haiti/Dominican Republic, hmmmmm:D ;)

Excellent posts, DreamWalker. I think they should feed these vermin nothing but pork in prison. That might encourage them to stay at home.

This reminds me of an incident occurring here in Iceland a few months ago. A few muslim workers, working on a hydroelectric dam (Kárahnjúkar) were served sandwiches for lunch. They later discovered that the sandwiches had, among other things, ham on them. :D

:rotfl:

Wait, what are muslims doing in Iceland? Are they asian muslims or arabs? I've heard "lovely" things about the little orangey-brown ones moving there in recent years.

I think I saw a show today on the Discovery Channel about this project. It is in eastern Iceland and is going to use the runoff from Europe's biggest glacier. I didn't see one Icelander during the whole show. I saw Russians, Englishmen, Asians (chinese looking asians and not Indian), South Africans, ect...they said that there was over 25 nationalities working on the site. At least it is in the boonies and the work camp is far away from any Icelandic settlement as far as I could tell. They said that there was no female interaction or drinking (maybe that is why there is no Scandinavians working on the project:D ).

There seem to be quite a few accidents at the site. Just a few weeks ago, in the middle of the night, a house caught fire. Two Poles fell 6 meters onto half-dried concrete and broke some bones. etc....

The hour long show was nothing but mistakes, accidents, and the weather not cooperating.
