Great link! Paleo humans in the Eastern Mediterranean had highest stature of all samples, even higher than modern US whites. Too bad they don't have figures for other areas, such as Northern Eurasia, which might have had even higher statures.

Vojvoda, you remember that PM I sent you about the health and longevity of the Gypsies.

Gypsies are of very fragile health, and they live short lives. Those who don't live normal lives ( not in poverty, like the majority of Gypsies ) also live shorter.

Also, because they marry at a very young age.I hear marriage can do that to you :D

I first read similar articles some years ago and its interesting how widespread the believe in the unhealthy, uncomfortable and harder living of Palaeolithics is.

At a certain point some human populations just had no other choice than begin to farm.
