He picked cotton, sold door to door, and served in the Air Force. He was a voice of rebellion that changed the face of rock and roll. An outlaw before today's rebels were born and an icon they would never forget. He did all this before turning 30. And his name was Johnny Cash. WALK THE LINE explores the early years of the music legend, an artist who transcended musical boundaries to touch people around the globe. As his music changed the world, Cash's own world was rocked by the woman who became the love of his life: June Carter.

I don't expect much from this movie, but for me (for perhaps obvious reasons) it is a must-see. If it even makes it as far as finnish movie theatres; I'll be there.

No Trailer as of yet, I'll post one when one appears.

Looks great -- at least the physical resemblance seems to be there, and according to imdb, the guy who plays Cash was also involved in writing the movie, so he must be committed to doing it right.

Not sure about Reese Witherspoon playing June Carter-Cash, though.

I read on some page he has been very worried about living up to his role as Cash.

Just found this picture gallery, posted June 10th.

Not sure about Reese Witherspoon playing June Carter-Cash, though.

Reese's recent films are awful rubbish, but I quite liked some of her pre-stardom offerings like "Freeway" and "A Far Off Place".

In case you haven't seen it yet, the trailer is here. (http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1369894&sdm=web&qtw=480&qth=300)

To be honest I don't think the trailer looks very promising.

I must agree with you, it looks like your typical romance movie, and not a very well-made one at that. Then again, that's pretty much what I expected.

I highly doubt it'll even be shown on Finland's silver screens. If so, then not on many.

It seems like an interesting movie, though I don't really like Joaquin Phoenix in that role and Reese Witherspoon doesn't seem like a good match, either.

Enjoyed it... by the way, the fellow playing Johnny's guitar picker Luther Perkins was Dan Miller of Detroit, MI former frontman of Goober and the Peas and fellow member of Two-Star Tabernacle alongside Jack White. Now he fronts a group called Blanche with his wife. I recommend giving Blanche a listen if you like depressing old fashioned country music and eerie steel guitar.
