Klaus Kinski
James Fox
Dirk Bogarde
Richard Burton
Alan Bates
Michael Caine
Max Von Sydow
Jean-Paul Belmondo
Humphrey Bogart
Harvey Keitel

Mickey Rourke looked as if he could be a great actor at one time. Guess Hollywood destroyed his career.

Missed out John Hurt. That man is extraordinary. Watched him, with Alan Bates, in Skolimowski's The Shout last night. Must have seen that film twenty times. If any of you like The Wicker Man then you will probably also enjoy this movie as it is about pagan practises (non-European admittedly) in a modern setting. Very atmospheric and quintessentially English in style.

I'll let this (http://www.forums.skadi.net/showpost.php?p=98803&postcount=6) do the talking.

Btw, forgot to add Jeremy Irons to the list.
