Those of you who have been/are in the military, which weapon/weapons was/were/is/are your personal firearm(s)? Not all the weapons you trained with, just the ones you "eat sleep and sh*t with". :aballern:

I started out with the basic Valmet Rk.62, which is the Finnish military service rifle.

When I became a military police I was given the 76TP(taittoperä) with folding buttstock. I preferred this version as it also gave you manouverability in close quarters (e.g. urban warfare).

Also, we had the Browning licensed FN-80, which is a DA version of the Hi-Power shown below. Not a great weapon, and many had problems with accuracy. Yet, very simple and functional, and I must have gotten a good one as I usually hit pretty close to where I aimed.

Do you have a firearm license at the moment, Arcturus?

Edit:

Here's a pretty good Russian gun site: http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm

No license as of yet at least. After the military I thought about it, as I did enjoy the firing ranges, but after calculating the cost (lockable gunlocker/box, the weapon itself, ammo, license) and the distance to the nearest decent range, I decided against it. I'm no "gun-nut", and know very little about weapons, but I was quite a good shot(if I do say so myself), and enjoyed the shooting itself.

I seem to recollect you don't have one either?
