When i first joined this forum, i was under the impression that most members are stationed in Europe and are Europeans. But it seems this is not exactly the case.

Isn't that an American WW2 poster in your avatar?

European, whatever that means...born and bred on the European Continent, surely, and belonging to a civilisation with foundations in Hellenic-Roman culture, Christianity and the Enlightment.
The Germanic contribution is sadly too often neglected.

Unsure, but I chose it because it was inspiring, not because of American patriotic ties. Besides, it's just an interim avatar until I find the perfect Celtic cross to match my signature.

If you want to travel, you're gonna have to start charging more. A 6 pack of beer and a pack of cigarettes doesn't get you very far.

I am from the good'old USA how ever my people are from Denmark, they must have not liked it very much, for they moved to England about 750 AD. Soon they had all they chould stand of England, and moved to Virginia the first chance they got.(about 1650) Afther that, about say 1787 or 89 for the fun of it some of them moved to Kentucky, and here we are still. As we say in the South Y'all come see us some time.

I believe Scathach is a Nationalist rather than a Pan-European, which is a view I sympathise with myself

Hi Iceman. My people have a similar background. Came to Maryland about 1660 (possibly Virginia just prior). Then Kentucky, and about the 1830's moved to Iowa (apparently a lot of Kentuckians did that...but still have distant relatives in Kentucky)

Yep, Ireland is in Northern Europe but I'm Irish - I can't say I feel a huge European kinship like I do for the Irish and the Irish diaspora.
