Funny that the Vikings in the postcard have dark hair. Did Erikson have dark hair? I would have thought that he would have had blond or at least light brown hair.

He should probably be a redhead like his father (http://www.amstein.ch/images/produits/rederik2.jpg), unless Erik the Red was into dark chicks. Perhaps it is a bit of Mediterraneanist revisionism? >:-(

Leifur and his older brother Thorsteinn are described as the fairest and most hansom men in Greenland in that time in Eiriks saga. Thorsteinn died from plague.

That is one of the most historical incorrect portrayals of vikings Ive ever seen. *shuddders*
Vikings never wore that kind of armour, or helmets with wings or horns.
