Really interesting morphed pictures!

Taking a cue from Dienekes, I used morphing software and available photos of national soccer teams to assess the average phenotypes of Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Greater Middle East, and finally Caucasoids as a whole. Here are the results:

Interesting that in this samples the Dutch being more Skandonordid than the Swedish.

Well one should emphasize that this avarage is not about the population as a whole but about top national soccer players and they're generally rather physical peak types in many cases.

And in the Saudi sample are too many non-Europid, mixed people which are not representative for the Europid middle Eastern which is in Saudi Arabia mostly Arabid. This influence makes the whole Middle Eastern morph and even the Caucasoid/Europid as a whole more Negroid looking than it would be without.

And yes, its about physically healthy, more athletic build and strongly masculine individuals, so not fully representative for the average.

Why footbal players? those guys tan to much. I wonder how the political examples would look like.

The Iranian conglomerate is lighter-skinned than the Spanish or British samples...

Yeah, I thought that was unusual too. Most anthropological works I've read (along with posts on this board) claim the British to be among the lightest skinned in Europe, if not the World. I think this is especially true in Western Britain and Ireland. Most people have extremely pallid complexions, especially the Mediterranid types.

I wouldn't say that the Iranians are lighter than them. You have to take into consideration the type of lighting the pictures were taken in too.

I question the utility of these morphs.

I'd rather see 10 or more carefully hand-picked photos which approximate the variation in a country than one fuzzy image.
