How much negro admixture does the average Arab have, if any? I know this would vary from country to country, so how about say a specific country like Iraq. What would be your guess for negro admixture in the average Iraqi, if any?

Negeriod blood in Arabs is very minimal, but it depends their are Arabized Nubians such as Sudenese who say their Arabs and their not, but their clear of the Atheiopid type. Negeriod blood in Arabs is very small. In Iraq Negeriod blood is very minimal as the slave rovlt occured in the Kuwait which used to belong in Iraq. Iraqis don't show African Y-chromsome, The Shitte Iraqis have 9.48% Negeriod mtDNA. The Syrians have it 9.47%, the Lebenese have it 2.33%. In Arab Asian population its less than 2%, but in North Africa its obvisouly more.

I have read somewhere that in North Africa south saharian blood amounts up to 8 percent. As for the Arabian peninsula most of the negroid admixture dates back to arab slavery.

According to the Middle East specialist Elisabeth Savage *, Moors and Berbers, after having been conquered by the Arabs during the eight century, were obliged to pay a tribute under the form of red hear women and children, who were most appreciated by the Bagdad khalifat. In turn, lacking women for themselves, the Berbers began to organise razzia in the south and opened the way to the trade of black slaves, first for their own needs, and then for their Arab masters and rulers. But while Berbers maried their slaves in a context of a total distress and poverty, Arabs from the Middle East just had them enucleate and emasculate, before putting them to a mill and using them like asses until they starved of exhaustion after two or three months. This is the reason why, in spite of a trade estimated to 20 millions negros between the eight and the nineteenth century, there are so few traces of black admixture in the middle east, contrarilly to western North Africa.
