Average faces of Baltid samples

I selected from both anthropological plates and modern sources Eastern European individuals which are pred. Osteuropid (mostly Baltid and Eastbaltid) and made graphical morphs of their faces. I think certain generalised traits might become quite obvious.

I made a facial morph out of 3 pred. Osteuropid Russians (one more Eastbaltid, slight Nordid influences in others), the result was a generalised Baltid/Osteuropid approximation (with slight Nordoid influences) me thinks:

Same for 3 Russian females in which the Nordoid influences were stronger than in the males though:

More textbook Eastbaltid examples included:

Another sample of pred. Osteuropid Russian and Ukrainian women:

Morph of the 3 above, result seems to be a standard Baltid:

For comparison Russian and Ukrainian pred. Nordid women's morph:

A better morph of a larger Nordid sample, most from Eastern Europe, but not all:

So far only with Baltid (male and female) and Nordid (female, see improved version above). I dont have enough good frontal pictures unfortunately.

what would be interesting, just a suggestion, is to get the photos of several willing skadi members, myself included, and morph their faces into average.

so, "average skadi nordid" "average skadi alpinid" "average skadi borreby"

etc.....just an idea.

Its not that difficult if I would have a good sample of jpeg frontal images. Thats the only problem.

Depends on the quality of the pictures you provide and for what you want to be an example.

The cheapest available, the freeware "Sqirlz Morph". One has to place control points manually, but I made the experience that expensive programs need manual control and correction too and a small number of control points is easy to place and effective. If I would like to have a better result I would just need good images and probably working on it with further graphic programs, to correct certain disharmonies.
