There is a really great song from Frank Rennicke, called Vaterland. Does anyone know where I can get that MP3? (I can't find it on Kazaa)
Of course I buy his CDs. But I like to have all my favorite songs on the computer, so I can listen to them when I go online - but my CD drive is broken :(

I've wanted to delete this thread for a long time because I already got the song. It's so frusterating how long it can take to find the song you want on Kazaa though. :peng

I hate that program, try winmx out instead! what concerns the satellite on audio galaxy then it really sucks, dont download audio galaxy it fucks up windows and corrupt files,

but winmx instead.

BTW what kind of music is it? not typical primitive skinhead music?

A mp3 from the German nationalist bard Frank Rennicke. It´s about folkish partisans (Wehrwölfe) in Germany during the 30 years war. Inspired by the book from Hermann Löns: http://www.blutundboden.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=319

Der Wehrwolf

Lyrics:

[Chorus]

Wir mußten Kameraden zu Grabe tragen,
Wir waren bereit zu Opfer und Tat,
Wir folgten der Pflicht ohne zu klagen,
Wir waren in allem Frontsoldat.

[Chorus]

Personally, I enjoy the "Kameraden!" album best.

Has anyone heard the wonderfull charismatic German folk music performed by Frank Rennicke?? If yes please share how you feel about them.
If not i strongly suggest you check him out if you can..the emotion and bitterness in some of his songs really shows.
If anyone knows about any news on him please share. Thanks!

I agree it's not new, but it's still a good reminder.

Yes, I do listen to his songs from time to time. They're great!

I listen to his songs very, very often. He is my alltime favourite and most of his songs are great. I hope he will release a new album soon, becaue his fans a waiting long enough but I also know that he is in big trouble with the state. :(

Renni is the best! :)

A friend gave me two albums, Frühwerk-Edition Volume 1 and Kameraden. I really like this kind of dark troubadour folk. Any similar artists, which are more troubadour:ish than regular neofolk? It doesn't have to lyrically deal with the same "themes" ;)
