View Full Version : I won't support my country at Germany 2006 World Cup

I don't really feel like supporting the Italian national team in the next World Cup and for various reasons:

- Like others Northern Italians i don't think the Italian nation represents me more than an hypothetical European team.
80-90% of the players are Southern Italians or have Southern origins, there's even one mestizo, why should i feel any commitment to them?

- The pathetic propaganda spreaded by the media in such occasions is so full of rethoric and blindfold partisanery that makes me puke, Italy always plays better than others, there are always fouls against us etc..i reject this whiny approach, football is for men not for ballerinas

- The recent football scandal here in Italy showed once again that what the common people usually think about corruption at any level is often the naked truth (vox populi, vox dei), everybody was thinking that Juventus and Milan created a football mafia that controlled everything in Italy, from referees to federation ca$h, etc...no wonder that they always get their a**es kicked when they play vs other european teams in Champions League.
It's a shame that people like Lippi, Buffon, Cannavaro still retain their chance to be at the world cup, in a normal country they would be kicked out of the team any day..

So that bunch of pretentious idiots that wear a blue shirt can go to hell, i'll go for Serbia/Montenegro this time :thumbup

I don't know any who support this team. We all pray for its defeat soon, against a mono-ethnic European team. :thumbup

This rules out many European teams ;)
Italy, England, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, etc..they all have at least a non-European in their teams..
So my hopes are all for the Eastern teams :thumbup

I'm not a football fanatic so I know nearly nothing about the teams. Where can I find pictures of all the teams?

Whatever, provided they are Europeans. :thumbup

That's true, at least for Spain, we usually are a 100% Spaniard team, but this year we have two non-Spanish players: Marcos Senna from Brazil, and Mariano Pernía from Argentina (at least he is white and of Spanish origin). Anyway I don't expect them to play too much.

Mauro German Camoranesi, he's from Argentina but he clearly has the mestizo look, despite his "Italian" family name

That's a good thing for Spain, still i can't understand what's the need to call such players when people like Vicente, Baraja, etc are left out of the team..

Some people asked me, why I support the german team... Shouldn't I do that because of our 2 "shadowed" Players Asamoah (AsaMOHR) and Odonkor (O-Donkey) :D ? Hmmm... I won't support these two "Blacks" but the rest of the team is ok for me...

If I were french, it would be very hard for me, because this team has more than two non-white players :thumbdown

Well Ferrari is way out of the team, and so is Liverani (half ethiopian lazio midfielder)
Camoranesi was born in Argentina and previously played in Mexico, where an italian talent-scout discovered him and brought him to Italy where he played for Verona (sadly) and nowadays Juventus.
i ignore what kind of Italian heritage he has..but his physical appearance betrays his muddy origins more than 1.000 genetical tests ;)

I always loved French culture, it's such a pity that the situation is so terrible there...
but Milan doesn't look any better, just it looks more like Marrakech rather than Dakar, sooner or later we will have a massive injection of proto-humanoids in our team too

I will be supporting England, but will not be unhappy if another Germanic team won, such as Sweden, Germany or Holland. I usually like to cheer on Denmark, whom have a homogenous line-up.

It's just awful, the french team looks like a joke. I can't imagine any white Frenchmen cheering for "their" team, it's just so absurd.

Why not enjoying your current team, then? When the Blacks will be a majority in your team, even the Southern Italians bashing won't be funny anymore.

In reality there's nothing funny in it.
Once the Southern Italians will start to disappear like we are disappearing now they will understand our reasons and our attitude, but it will be too late.

I pray that Germany fizzles in this world cup. Currently, for a few months, there are two developments in the so-called "public debate" going on which have to do with each other: a political and medial witchhunt against "neo-Nazism", "racism" and "xenophobia" on the one side, which had been of a comparable vehemence at last six years ago; and the official proclamation and "discussion" of a new "patriotism" on the other side, of a pseudo-patriotism in reality of just superficial character, where we should be proud of "benefits" such as multiculturalism, "our democracy" and--yes, of course--our "responsibility for Auschwitz", a "patriotism" which just aims to make the "business location" Germany mentally "fit for globalisation", a completely worthless low-flame "national pride" where it is made clear what is allowed and not. No doubt that the Merkel gang and the system as a whole would channel a German soccer triumph into their uses, which are truly anti-national, in the same way as they seriously refer again and again to the historical "national event" (which shows the character of the FRG) But what we need is more general frustration and depression about the situation, not sudden wrong illusions of "success" which belie that the destruction of the nation through a felonious policy and the people's unwillingness of becoming aware of the seriousness the situation is continued, "triumphes" which are anyway played off by the system's demagogy against those who are serious nationalists in this country. I just hate this crippled, superficial, unsubstancial, weakly, dishonest sort of "patriotism" they try to dope out in the party headquarters and editorial offices. So the noble device must be: Dann verliert mal schön! With the Asamoah Negro and similar figures, one can anyway just speak limitedly of a "German team" which would be an actual object of identification.

so Germany is full of the same rotten demagogy that infests the Italian public opinion, the same Italian opinion that pushed by the mass media every once in a while tries to change the national anthem because is made of literate words that nobody understands today (instead of being proud of the fact that the man that wrote such words actually died for his dream of an italian nation, my bad opinion about this melting country doesn't stop me to give to the lad his credits, he stood firm for what he believed in) and that the mentally retarded players are not even able to sing correctly before a match.

Sport success used as a panacea, as if a world cup victory would solve a single problem in this sick nation.
Foreigners wouldbe surprised to see how many people in Italy don't feel represented by this Italian team, expecially here in the North, where the echoes of the old Comunes rivalry are still present and refuse to die

LOL I was about to post a pic of the French team when I see this thread I saw a pic yesterday and I was shocked!

And about Camoranesi, I didn't know him I look for pics and I found he does look like of he has something non white in him, He even would be consider a "negro" (black, word argentines use to refer to people who pure european ancestries are doubtful).

http://www.euro2004.nl/images/spelers/Italie/Camoranesi.jpg

But the truth is that I wouldn't argue too much if he says he's from pure Southern Italian ancestries. Come on I'm Argentine I know how many people from Napoles or Sicily look.

Now he has straight long hair with a pony tail, and he's not that tall, he is also quite thin, if you will have the chance to see him playing in the world cup you would think he's a Mexican ;)
n this pic he reminds me of Ivan Zamorano(Chile)
