Does anyone here have some interesting sources about the Catholic Church's influence(good or bad) on medieval science?

His influence, was, of course, of preservation and in times like scholasticism, of increase. The beginning the anatomy was fully catholic in Rome and Bologne, for example. The work in monasteries was impressionant. And for example Popes like St Sylvestre with the promulgation of arabic numbers in Europe and other math studies were interesting.
