His face is kind of broad. He has stiff hairs. Other than that nothing distinctly Asian about him, but a certain Je ne sais que Iranique. :)

Oi! Watch it you! :D
The fact that he's wearing a kilt pretty much gives away the fact that he's not Scottish. The only time you'll be likely to see a Scotsman in a kilt is at a wedding.
The only other people you will see wearing them in Scotland are American tourists, while they are stocking up with shortbread, Nessie stuffed toys, and telling the woman at the Genealogy office that his name is MacGregor and could she tell him which house his great, great, great grandfather used to live in! LOL :D

Oh yes, you mean the "Tartan Army".
Well most of them are doing it as a good-humoured fun-poke at themselves.
And also, it seems to attract the ladies as well for some reason (probably not with my legs though ;) ).

The remaining few tend to be silly old dotters, the type who get sentimental singing songs about how they are far from home and wish they were back in Scotland whilst in a pub in Inverness town centre. :D

How do you know the Scottish half is Keltic (Nordic)? Can you show us any photos of the father or mother? Or are you just guessing?

What type do you think he is?

It is the type of guys cheering for the Scottish football team. They are surely loud.

Yes, most of them have been the kind you see at Irish pubs abroad. In fact I met most of them at such places. Cool guys whom drink a lot!

I noticed that some Norwegian girls thought that is interesting. More fun than attraction per se. Anyway, it is an unusual sight.

Yeah, the football fans are the "Tartan Army".
They cause quite a bit of amusement back home where we all just shake our heads and smile.

Funny you should mention Norwegian girls, there were a number who were quite taken with us when they were in an Irish pub in Seville.
If you can create some interest, you're half-way to a woman's heart :)

His features to me look more Western European than Western Asian, beyond the pigmentation which is kind of superficial because he looks normally light/ruddy and then has a tan. He's not so bad looking. Makes me want to try haggis kebab. :D

I'm not Scottish at all but I like to go to the Highland Games (http://www.almahighlandfestival.com/), the largest Scottish event in the US I even worked there a few summers ago. Seeing men in skirts... I mean kilts is a curiousity. ;)

But here's more my kind of Scotsman :heartbeat

I've only heard Caspians described superficially in 'The Red Book of the Peoples of the Russian Empire' which started my interest in anthropology in the first place. :)

But it would not surprise me in my knowledge of geography if volksdeutche were one of them at least partially (see attached pic of a very similar guy).

I think Darius is different and not at all like a narrow-faced Mediterranean. Darius has a rounder head and broader face, shorter more convex nose and a slight build (you can see his spindly little legs, hehe).

I finally found an ethnic map of Iran and its environs. But what's with the little island of ethnic Russians in Azerbaijan? :)

I think Stepanakert used to be a military base, even the name is derived from a Russian Stepan (English Steven).

Sure, but not all Scots are "Keltic Nordic". Anyway, that man is typical for a Western Asian, non-Arab Europid. I would have not been able to tell that he has any strain from a Scottish folk stock.

I do not know how Western European is defined by Ladygoeth. I do not doubt that there are Scotsmen, Irishmen and Welshmen as dark as him, however, they have different features. You shall see what I mean with the attached photo of him.

He's not too different from Colin Farrell (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=Colin+Farrell&sa=N&tab=wi) really. What is a typical West European? You mean for Britian Ireland and Scotland? I think for a typical Scot (and I've seen hundreds) would be someone with pale ruddy skin, red or dark haired and not usually blond, light eye color more predominant, and tall stature. But maybe it's a stereotype. Elsewhere in the UK I'm not sure, the indigenous people seem nice and diverse themselves. :)
