First is a picture showing Ladogan posterboy Alexandr Lebed, his parents and siblings. His brothers and sister look a bit more "Nordish" than he does (his sister looks East Baltic), but he was blond as a little boy. His father was Ukrainian and his mother was Russian, they look totally Europid and nothing mongoloid about them. :)

In the second picture is Alexandr Lebed, his wife Inna and their children. The children all seem "Nordish" (although the youngest is too young to classify at all). His wife might have some distant mongoloid ancestry.

Third, a picture showing Alexandr Lebed's very protruding browridges, sloping forehead and snub nose in profile.

Fourth, a picture of Inna Lebed.

Fifth, young Alexandr as a fairhaired youth.

There were some interesting phenotypic and genetic combinations going on there. Some Ladogans can and do have 'the right stuff' for continuing the Nordish race. :D

Reduced East-Baltid with Siberian/Mongoloid and/or Turanid influences. Very unprogressive.

Unprogressive, but rather common in his natural habitat. http://radio.weblogs.com/0001015/images/2002/04/28/lebed.gif

Lebed was ethnic Ukrainian... with Russian passport...
Should we consider Nyamko Sabuni (not only a person with Swedish passport but a minister of Swedish goverment) - Swedish???

So what? He was born in Novocherkassk, Russia. Russian was his mother tongue. He was a Russian army officer and could have become president of the Russian Federation. "Russian" is not an ethnic concept.

She is not Swedish, but she has Swedish citizenship. "Swedish" is a Germanic, ethnic-national term, "Russian" - like "American" or "Canadian" - is not.

Ethnic Ukrainian? I suppose he could be East-Alpinid + something exotic or not. All ingredients whisped together with the ugly stick.

Sorry, but the comparison is ridiculous. Russia and the Ukraine are related to each other like Germany and Austria, i.e. as two countries sharing basically one and the same ethnicity - quite unlike Sweden and Subsaharan Africa.

Basically East Baltid. Perhaps minor Gorid. Very robust.

East Baltid + SibiridWhat is "Sibirid"? Never heard that before. Surely it's meant to designate a mixture of something, but of what?

SIBIRID

...Thanks. And what's the difference between them and the Eskimos? BTW, the girl looks quite normal Chinese to me. :D And the man seems to be degenerated, perhaps due to alcoholism. :D

ESKIMID

Arctic Mongolid variety distinguished by greater facial profile, wider lower jaw, lower frequency of epicanthus, thicker lips, mesognathy, very coarse hair, high-rooted and narrow nose, a rather pyknic and massive body build, advanced musculature, and darker skin. Eskimids are found in arctic North America, Greenland, and intermittently in coastal Chukotka-Kamchatka.

A vast large numerous of Russians do have infact Mongolide blood and genes. Yeltsin is a nice example of a Slav with mongolian features.

Atleast we Germanics dont look like that:)

Russia is a multicultural society ever since its earliest existing. I know Russians dont like to hear this, but Russia is in simple words an Asiatic nation in Europe who thinks it is European because of a few elements of Nordic blood. The deeper one travels inside Russia, the Asiatic it becomes. I can tell, I have been in Russia:thumbdown

And if I asked you about the approximate "mongolian" admixture in %, how big would it be?

Unfortunately this guy passed away tragically a few years ago. :(

Boris Yeltsin

Where are his mongolian features? Yeltsin looks like a typical East European whereas Lebed looked much more exotic and Siberian. Lebed was probably Ladogan-Baltic-Mongoloid, I'm not sure what Yeltsin would be because I'm no expert on ethnic Russians, but looks primarily some sort of robust Russian Nordid type, Battle Axe? (Where's Ross when you need him?)

And no offense, there are Germanics who do indeed 'look like that.' My favorite Icelandic singer, for example. :P
