I see Nordic types, UP types, mixed Nordid-UP types, East-Baltic types and one Turanid type (who most likely isn't Russian).

Wait a while I found some crowd pics, I'll post them later today or tomorrow maybe.

Counter-strike is still the most played on-line game everywhere, especially in US, Sweden and Germany.

Anyway, here are some more pics from random Russian towns.

The question is: do you see more mongoloid influenced people in these pics than in any other N. European country or not?

None of them look mongoloid influenced, except maybe these 2:

http://khatovar.yar.ru/rus/Heroes/bond1.jpg
http://khatovar.yar.ru/rus/files/gm_phot/inogorod14.jpg

Many of them look Uralic. It seems some Russians do not make a distinction between partially mongoloid and Uralic/Ladogan types, and consider Ladogan types "mixed with mongoloid" which can't even be proven.

The second one looks more Turkic than mongoloid, imo. Can you show me a pic of a pure Ladogan/Uralic type, because I still don't understand how they look like. But please only pure.

I'd say the percentage of Nordics is much higher than the percentage of Uralic influenced ones.

All look proto-Nordic in one way or another.

i would say nordic with mongoloid influence for at least most of them. most russians have mongoloid influence on one way or the other, you can cleary see that by how the nordic threats become more unclear.

Nope, Thiespas, that isn't any proof. First of all, the map is unprecise, second, this is a map of the largest extent of the Mongol empire, which lasted for less than a decade. If you need to discuss this topic, here are links where it's already been discussed. Don't come back before you read it all ;)

You're retarded. You think that brachycephaly and mesoprosopy are indicators of Mongoloidism.

Many of them look Uralic.

None of them look Uralic, (one looks Turanid). Many look like Uralic-influenced Nordeuropids, i.e. East-Baltic. This Nenets woman is a typical Uralic:

http://www.ravna.com/barentsfoto/images/Or0213.jpg

You're confusing Uralic with Coon's "Ladogan" type which does not exist as a population.

It seems some Russians do not make a distinction between partially mongoloid and Uralic/Ladogan types, and consider Ladogan types "mixed with mongoloid" which can't even be proven.

Uralics are indeed mixed, but mostly Europid by a very small margin (~60% Europid ancestry vis-a-vis 40% Mongoloid ancestry). The Uralic type was proven to be of mixed ancestry by Tatiana Alexeeva in her book "Antropologija Shastynyh Stojanok". As for "Ladogans" they are not really a type, but merely EBs who happen to retain more Uralic specialties.

Well, Vologda and Yaroslavl both fall into the Vologda-Vytka anhtropological zone, which is predominanly East-Baltic. To tell you the truth, knowing their location I am quite surprised at the relatively high frequency of Nordic types - must be an effect of recent population movements. I don't have Bunak's book handy at the monent, but I'll try and post anthropometry for the area as soon as I can.

Just judging by the photos I've seen there are no regions in Russia which could be predominantly East Baltic. I'll post some more from Vyborg now.

Well, I guess it depends on your definition of "East Baltic". I use "East-Baltic" for all Uralic-influenced Nordeuropids, for lack of a better term. The population of Vologda and Yaroslval (descended mostly from Russianized Finns) represent a Europid superstratum imposed on a smaller, and more ancient Uralic stratum (of the Lappinoid variety). Perhaps 'sub-Lappinoid' would be a better name for this type? And btw, Kostroma and and North-Archangel, considering their extremely high rates of blondism are two regions of Russia that would be desginated predominantly East-Baltic in the classical sense.

Well, yeah, but in any case I don't think that Uralic-influenced people are a majority in any region even the most north-western one.

The Uralic element is:

1. Small

2. Stabilized

3. Of the Lappinoid variety.

Lappinoids don't looks as Mongoloid or have as much Mongoloid ancestry as other branches of the Uralic race, such as the Khanty and the Nenets. Tatiana Alexeeva herself says that Northern Russians belong predominantly to the "White-Sea Baltic" (mesocephalic East-Baltic) type. West-Baltic and Nordid enclaves can of course be found in the area, especially around Novgorod. Of course, even the Northern-most Russians are not nearly as Uralic influenced, as for example the Baltic Finns. I find the obsession some people here have over low single-digit percentages of Asiatic ancestry to be quite hilarious.

*Oh no! My great-great-grandmother was a Lapp! I think I'll go put a bullet in my head now!" :D

Damn! I bet such maniac-looking guys are terrified of being followed by beautiful women :D ( I casually wondered through the 'post your pic' thread and saw your picture, my impressions are: WOW! You look almost identical to a friend of mine ( also slavic ) she once had blonde hair, and looked a lot like Peta Wilson from La Femme Nikita. Now, she too has red hair :) )
