Hails everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me on the subject of classification. what sub-class of celtic would have a tall slender build, with an square jaw, green eyes and thing straight brown hair. If it helps the subject is also Welsh, German, and Scottish but mostly Welsh.

Thanks

The distinct features you describe are tall, slender build and a square jaw. But I wonder what the phrase "square jaw" means to you. If the subject of your inquiry looks rugged because of his jaw (and has pronounced brow ridges as well), I'd say you are looking at an Upper Paleolithic phenotype. I tend to equate square-jawed UP with Borrebys, but Brunn is almost as rugged looking.

Tall and slender is not a UP combination. UPs, though taller even than Nordics, are big boned. The slenderness is likely either an Atlanto-Mediterranean or Nordic addition.

Finally, I'd have to say he's "Keltic Nordic," the old grab bag of NW European mix from the nordic expansion breaking through other subrace's territory to reach the Benelux and British Isles. "Keltic Nordic" is as useful a classification for NW Europe as "East Baltic" is for NE Europe.

Hi Wolfishman,

It's hard to say based on description alone. Could you post a few photos of yourself?

Going by your nickname, I'd have to say Canid! I'm only joking around here. ;)

Anyway, I'd be happy to give it a whirl with a photo or two.
