If you don’t already know, then it is unlikely the map will be useful to you. However, the oxygen isotopic composition of carbonate hydroxyapatite in teeth and bones reflects the 18O/16O ratio of the water and food that was consumed by the individual. For instance: Human teeth from a Roman cemetery are being used to trace the origin of the population living in Portus.
