This house reminds me of the Iroquois longhouse. Both were in a cold climate but the Iron Age house evidently contained fewer people. These longhouses and their culture were found in New York, Vermont, Quebec, for instance. The Indians had a similar economy. Actually, these particular Indians were pretty advanced for their time. They didn't make iron, however.
