I have a really neat book that I use with my daughter for teaching her about the library and library skills. It uses the Dewey Decimal system and has all these activities for them to do within each section of the library. For example, in one assignment, when she was learning how to locate magazines, she had to select a non-fiction magazine article and then write a summary about it. She chose an article about Dolphins. Then, when she was learning about Encyclopedias and where they are located, she had to choose a topic and create a web about it. This time she chose horses. You can tell she has an interest in animals.
