The Germanic Heritage Page (http://web.archive.org/web/20030811232125/http://www.anglo-saxon.demon.co.uk/lyfja/ghp/germanic.html)

The term Germanic refers to those peoples descended from speakers of Proto-Germanic, the ancestor of the modern Scandinavian languages as well as English, German and Dutch. In ancient times the Germanic peoples shared a common culture and religion. Anyone who speaks a Germanic language has a cultural, if not genetic, heritage which goes back to the heathen barbarians of Northern Europe. This page is intended as a resource for modern heathens and for anyone interested in medieval and pre-Christian Germanic languages, literature, culture, mythology, and religion.
