Great thread, Frans. My father will love this, having an interest in wolf-hybrids, tiglons, and the sort :)

What is the largest feline that can mate with a cat BTW? Is it possible for a lynx to have offspring with a cat?

Yes, it is despite Lynx being closer to the roaring cats of genus Panthera than to domestic cats.

Yes, Bob cats or lynx and domestic cats appear to be interfertile; cross-breeding resulted in a nice and social domestic hybrid, which is still very rare and most catteries are US-based:
