Charles ought to have his eyes checked. He is actually living a Shallow Hal movie. Once he has the surgery, then he ought to review his family motto, "Wir Dien" (We Serve) and try to apply it to his shallow life. If this fails he should review the concepts of Honor, Duty and Loyality. After his suicide, we will all be better off with Prince William.

just by the way:
it must be "Wir dienen".

And: Well, it's ok that Charles and Camilla are marrying. For me.
Di war gorgeous - but she's dead. Charles won't never ever get a woman as beautiful as she was. When both married, Diana was almost a child, attracted by his royal appearance and background. She wanted to be the princess - a dream of all little girls. The love between Charles and Di didn't last very long, I guess. They betrayed each other quite often...

Why Charles is mad about Camilla? I guess she fullfills his sex-dreams. She's a quite dirty old lady. Do you remember their secret telephone calls where Charles told her that he wants to be her Tampax tampon? I doubt that he could have talked like this to Diana.

The british religious tradition, wants Prince of Wales (Charles) to be the official chief of the Church of England. Not a religious man ,sure, but potentially an great example of spiritual fervour and moral rectitude............:D :D :D

Good luck to Charles!

Princess "Virgin Mary" Diana wasn't exactly as pure as the driven snow herself.
The results of a Paternal DNA test on Prince Harry would be interesting to see. Ain't no way he's one of Charles', just look at him!

The Media here in Australia are trying to somehow squeeze an anti-monarchy angle out of the situation....Channel 10 with their insipid little loaded phone-polls etc...

I don't think Princess Di was the sharpest knife in the drawer anyway. And she was a traitor to her own kin in the end. If I was Charles, I'd have had her locked up in the Tower, with an appointment to see the Headman the next morning :)

Ah well, as soon as I can track down Harold Godwinsson's heir, I'll do my bit to put him on the throne of a reborn England :D

My 2 cents,
AndersrednA

Good luck to them, going to need it :). I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but I really don't understand this fixation the English have with royalty. Who cares about Charles? I watched Skynews last night, and they were going on and on about this insignificant subject. Really, who cares?
How can the British public pay millions of pounds to this mediocre family that never excelled in anything but drinking and adultry? Why do the tax payers need to fund their activities?

Of course most people like gossiping about the rich and famous, but for Christ sake: that's why you have Beckham and ...oh, I don't know, Elton John... Why do you need Charles? really? why?

Quite frankly lI finf it very hard looking at those arhaic reactionary clowns never failing to make a spectacle of themselves.......

Back in the early eighties the marraige of youthful & vigorous Charlie & Di was full of hope & promise.....today though we are treated to the grotesque vision of two withered old fools tying the knot after some botched legal arrangement....

....I'm beginning to see the wisdom in Ribbentrop's view that the only good thing done by the social democrats was the liquidation of the monarchy...

....but then again on this question of the monarchy I am hopelessly biased....

My best and final solution to royal issues:
a very lively reenactment of the Ekaterinburg, 1918 purge.:|

Spectacle it is, but fortunately it isn't a spectacle of life and death: like the Romanovian-Petrine, Habsburgian, Hohenzollern ones.

But emotionally I feel some disgust towards these rojalties, not to mention all the Swedish "nobles" with great names, von this-and-that hjelm, who believe they still have privilegies... :D

Or, as a friend of mine said when very drunk: "Can't people see that the Bernadottes have done their part? It's my turn now." :D
(the Bernadottes are the Swedish royal line)

I feel that a reborn Sweden will need a new royal line though. Unless some of the royalties shows some understanding of Nationalism and/or traditional values. But that would surprise me, we have a very bourgeois royalty here.

Because despite her beauty Diana was a complete wing nut. Also the British Monarchy is self supporting and doesn't cost the taxpayers one thin dime.

Even if he is a Prince I don't think girls are queing up to be with him, not exactly Brad Pitt is he :D:-O:P.

Something I have been wondering....Blair is going to call a General Election this year, he was out *meeting* the public today, but anyone can see he was campaigning when the election hasnt even started yet, what convenient timing to have something as monumental as a Royal wedding at the same time as a General Election.......hummm.

By the way: Take a look at the code of arms. It says Wir Dien. I think the idea is that "to serve" has been made a noun.
