and not for the better

11.6 million people calling themselves Canadian. Kind of makes it difficult to determine ethnic origin accurately. Many muds stress that they are Canadian.

Seems like the east coast is whiter than the west. Saskatchewan lists more people calling themselves German than any other single classification including Canadian.

Canadian television looks so purposely multicultural to me, like they're trying so hard to make it diverse. Seems like there are a lot of natives in Saskatoon, lol they want to chat with me sometimes.. :stop

This link might explain some of it:

The article is about a journalist that wrote that Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau threw open the doors to immigrants so as to stop the French Quebecois from splitting off. The idea being that the newcomers would tend to be loyal to the central government and dilute the French Canadian votes.

As always, these "elite" fellows don't bother to asks the opinion of those most affected.

Long running DeGrassi Junior High coming of age with constantly changing characters espousing Liberal ideas is one lousy Canadian product we could do without in the States. There are people who control the media who want this type of stuff to insert "accepted" values between American kids and the better values imparted by parents. My guess is the demographic aimed it is the 9 to 12 year-olds who may likely mimic what the characters stress as "good". While they may sometimes impart a good value, more often, what is taught is subversive or morally wrong in the long term. Don't watch it in 5 years, tune in and you still find the same twisted values re-packaged and promoted by a newer character.
