• "Steven P. Rose, Ph.D. is a Neurobiologist and Professor and Chair of the Department of Biology; and Director of Brain and Behaviour Research Group at the Open University. Rose was born in London, 1938, and was educated at Cambridge (double first class degree in Biochemistry, 1959). His scientific interest in understanding the brain led him to take a PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry in London (1961). Before joining the faculty at the Open University in 1969, Rose conducted postdoctoral research at Oxford University (Fellow, New College), University of Rome (NIH Fellow), and with the Medical Research Council in London. He established the Brain and Behaviour Research Group; he has focused his research on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of learning and memory. His research in this area has led to the publication of some 300 research papers and various international honors and medal awards including the Sechenov and Anokhin Medals (Russia) and the Ariens Kappers medal (The Netherlands). In 2002 he was awarded the Biochemical Society medal for excellence in public communication of science. During his time at the Open University he has also held visiting professorships and appointments at the Australian National University, Harvard University, University of Minnesota (Hill Distinguished Visiting Professor) and the Exploratorium in San Francisco (Osher Fellow)."

• "Richard C. Lewontin (born 1929) is an evolutionary biologist, geneticist and social commentator at Harvard University. A leader in developing the mathematical basis of population genetics and evolutionary theory, he pioneered the notion of using techniques from molecular biology such as gel electrophoresis to apply to questions of genetic variation and evolution. In a pair of 1966 papers co-authored with J.L. Hubby in the journal Genetics, Lewontin helped set the stage for the modern field of molecular evolution."

"Lewontin was born in New York City. In 1951, He obtained a bachelors degree in biology from Harvard University. In 1952, he received a master's degree in mathematical statistics followed by a doctorate in zoology in 1954, both from Columbia University. Lewontin held faculty positions at North Carolina State University, the University of Rochester, and the University of Chicago. In 1973 Lewontin served as Alexander Agassiz Professor of Zoology and Professor of Biology at Harvard until 1998 and as of 2003 was the Alexander Agassiz Research Professor at Harvard."

"Along with others, such as his late Harvard colleague, Stephen Jay Gould, Lewontin has been a persistent critic of the type of genetic determinism espoused by some neo-Darwinists such as Richard Dawkins. In his writings he calls for what he considers a more nuanced view of evolution, which he claims requires a more careful understanding of the context of the whole organism as well as the environment. Such concerns about what he views as the oversimplification of genetics led Lewontin to be a frequent commentator in debates, and he has lectured widely to promote his views on evolutionary biology and science. In books such as Not in our Genes (co-authored with Steven Rose and Leon J. Kamin) and numerous articles, Lewontin has questioned much of the claimed heritability of human behavioral traits such as intelligence as measured by the IQ test, promoted by books such as The Bell Curve."

• "Leon Kamin was born on December 29, 1927 in Tauton, Massachusetts. He was a son of a Polish rabbi. He believes that his background of being Jewish in a Christian town strongly sensitized him to the power of social environment in shaping his overall personality. "

"As Kamin grew older, he decided to spend the majority of his time not doing research, but instead being a professional reviewer and critic of intelligence studies. His work has emphasized the weakness in the genetic argument and provided continued support for the environmental argument. Not surprisingly, his work has caused a good deal of controversy in the nature vs. nurture debate surrounding intelligence."

"Professor Leon Kamin, dogged anti-IQ warrior, former communist and subject of McCarthy hearings."

• "Stephen Jay Gould (September 10, 1941 - May 20, 2002) was a New York-born American paleontologist and writer of popular science. Born Jewish, he did not formally practice any organized religion; he was to some degree an admirer of Marxism, although he was by no means a communist."

"Since then, many other scientists have disputed the analysis in The Bell Curve, and have found what they see as serious methodological flaws. A critique of the book can be found in the revised and expanded edition of The Mismeasure of Man, by Stephen Jay Gould (1996, W. W. Norton and Co., ISBN 0393039722.)

In the first edition of that book, published in 1981, Gould made a number of critical points concerning many of the studies Herrnstein and Murray were to draw on. Gould's larger point is that most scientific studies of the relationship between race and human behavior have been heavily biased by the assumption that human behavior is best explained by heredity. He criticizes studies of the relationship between race and intelligence on several grounds. One thing he points out is that much of the data that earlier scientists relied on may have been falsified. The prime example is Cyril Burt's famous study of the IQs of twins separated at birth. Serious questions have been raised as to the actual extent of Burt's research (but recent studies have yielded reliable estimates of the heritability of intelligence, which fall within the same quantitative range as Burt's figures - and it should also be noted that the specific charges against Burt by Leon Kamin about "invariant correlations" have since been shown to be seriously flawed)."

I have yet to see a 'racialist socialist' give a cogent explanation of the inherent contradictions of their position.

Your list would have the same character in the event the title were changed to "People behind Bolshevism".

All Jews to the man. Their attempts failed on multiple levels but we should all keep in mind that this was part of the Jewish agenda of race-mixing. They, of course, were going to use religion as an excuse not to do so.

The really good news is that so many of them are dead. Actually, Jews have stopped concentrating on this issue (now that we have better biochemistry/genetic information) and are now concentrating on setting another set of parameters as budding "bio-ethicists". These morons sit around and try to tell the rest of us that certain knowledge is bad for us or shouldn't be employed or engineered. They certainly don't listen to this crap in Israel.

Fools, all of them. They are attempting to tear apart the only ways we have of understanding why what is going to happen will happen. And bioethics is hilarious.

I'm reading the new book by Sarich and Miele--

Among their list of offenders who have tried to bury the issue of race a subject of scientific study are surely Gould and Lewontin. I believe it was Lewontin that they cited as basically saying that even if there is a validity to race as a subject of science and as a scientific 'entity', we shouldn't "go there". LOL.

It's really odd how prople will just gobble this stuff up as if it's gospel. :|

I'm reading the latest edition of the basic student's textbook to physical anthropology (;)) which is written by american professors (I guess the same textbook is used in the UK as the US) and on the short section dealing with the issue of race it mostly paraphrases Lewontin's 1972 essay to say there is no such thing, it is not a valid taxanomic construct etc, etc. Someone wrote an article which exposed this though ;): http://forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?t=13735

I hope Sarich mentions somewhere in his book that he and Wilson invented the concept of the mutation rate being used as a biological clock. This was instrumental in establishing the Homo/Pongid break at around 4 million years. After that this same technology was used by the Out-of-Africa people and now used again with genetic markers. Vince Sarich is a true scientist.

He certainly does. I don't have the book with me at the moment but this weekend or next week, I will post some applicable excerpts.

As a matter of fact it is very important to point at the underlying political motivations of these "race-doesn't-exist-for-non-Jews" people.
They always do the same and try to link "genetics" to "genocide" when the results don't confirm their world view.

Both Kamin and Lewontin took part of anti-racist student demonstrations and rallied behind all sorts of leftist organisations in trying to "deconstruct" Western society.

Above all, the pope of egalitarianism, Gould, wrote his drivel 'The Mismeasurement of Man' with a statue of Lenin on his writing desk. Nuff said.

From Boaz to Gould, from Montagu to Lewontin: these Jews fit nicely in prof.Kevin MacDonald's theory in 'The Culture of Critique' whereby these 20th Century political and intellectual movements were started by Jews, who perceived themselves as Jews in the first place, and took great animosity with Western society which they perceived as anti-Semitic.

How many more years will students of biology be misinformed by Lewontin's phalacy???
