There are two parts of Ireland:

Northern Ireland population 1.862 million, where Sinn Fein have a 30% representation and
Southern Ireland (the Republic of Ireland) population 4.8 million where Sinn Fein have a14% representation.
Sinn Fein are the only political group which has a representation in both parts of Ireland.

Sinn Fein has always been a left wing, marxist party. Over the years they have developed into a very astute and, efficient political machine, where party policy is unquestioningly followed. They are 100% pro EU / European. They welcome immigration and refugees. Quite simply they view immigrants as future Sinn Fein voters and necessary to build and expand their electoral base.

They have encouraged immigration and refugees and been at the forefront in organising it.

Does Sinn Fein resemble the ENGLISH Labour Party?

It's not easy to find an article that covers 'Syrian Refugees' in Northern Ireland. Bear in mind the 1.8 million population.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Ireland the most welcoming country for Syrian refugees, according to major European study

International Rescue Committee IRC chief executive David Miliband says the study shows the vast majority of Europeans have “not lost their hearts”.

Hundreds of people turned out last year to call on the Government to take in more refugees.

IRISH PEOPLE HAVE been ranked as the most sympathetic towards the arrival of Syrian refugees, in a poll of 12 European countries. The International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) study into public sympathy towards Syrian refugees, published today, shows almost nine out of 10 respondents in Ireland (87%) expressed some degree of sympathy towards Syrian refugees arriving here.

Ireland was followed by Spain (86%), Germany (84%) and Portugal (84%).

IRC chief executive David Miliband argued that the study’s findings reveal the vast majority of Europeans have “not lost their hearts”. He said there is “a clear call here for governments to combine compassion with competence in responding to the refugee crisis”.

The research shows 39% of Irish people voiced concern about refugees placing pressure on the State’s welfare system, while 36% worried that refugees would put pressure on public services like education, health and housing.

Over a quarter (27%) of Irish people surveyed said it would cost the Government too much money to take care or refugees fleeing the conflict in Syria.

National security

Only three out of 10 / 30% of the more than 12,500 Europeans interviewed in the study identified national security as one of their top three concerns about the influx of refugees.

In Ireland, less than one in four 25% said refugees were a risk to the State’s security.

Attitudes towards refugees in the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia were noticeably more negative with 61% of Czechs expressing concern that refugees posed a national security risk.

Some 54% of those surveyed in the Czech Republic said refugees would increase crime rates – followed by 47% in Slovakia and 41% in Romania.

The survey was carried out by Ipsos Mori in August 2016 in the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the UK, with an average of 1,050 people surveyed in each country.

1,223 annually

The overall findings of the data show that levels of sympathy towards Syrian refugees are generally high across Europe, with three out of four people expressing some degree of compassion towards refugees.

The IRC is calling for (https://www.rescue-uk.org/refugee-resettlement-around-the-world) European countries to resettle 50% of all Syrian refugees or 25 per cent of all refugees globally.

This means 540,000 people over five years or 108,000 per year, a number calculated by taking into account the population and GDP of each country.

Ireland would need to settle a total of 6,116 refugees or 1,223 annually to meet the IRC target. Last year Ireland resettled 178 refugees.

Does the war give those genuine refugees automatically a right to a new life in Europe at taxpayers expense?
Why Europe? Why not Arab world, or China, or Brazil?
Does a war give them the right to welfare shop? I would argue it absolutely does not.
Then of course there’s the other bigger issue that a large proportion of the migrants coming into Europe are not “genuine Syrian refugees” at all.

The solution to Syrian refugees is for the 'west' to stop its illegal activities in that country and end its support for terrorism.

There are now more than 1,200 Syrian refugees living in Northern Ireland, government figures show.

This is the eighteenth group of of Syrian refugees to be given shelter in Northern Ireland. (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-36146140)

The scheme was set up in 2015 to resettle up to 20,000 Syrian refugees across the UK over the course of the current parliament.

All families are receiving support from a consortium of community and voluntary groups in partnership with statutory organisations, according to the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme. (https://www.gov.uk/settlement-refugee-or-humanitarian-protection/overview)

The latest briefing document published by the Department of Communities in December states that there has been "overwhelming support" from the community throughout Northern Ireland to provide assistance to the refugee families.

The overall number of Syrian refugees welcomed to Northern Ireland to date is 1,258.

Under the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme refugees are expected to live in Northern Ireland for five years, after which time they can choose whether to go back to Syria or apply for UK citizenship as long as they do not have a criminal record.

"overwhelming support" from Sinn Fein ONLY, who see them as VOTERS and therefore chaperone them.
Nobody wants fanatical insane muslims, especially simple rural people. And such numbers into a population of 1.8 million.

The solution is simple-the 'west' should stop its fake wars against 'terror' and help to rebuild the countries which they have smashed to smithereens for Israel.

sinn fein has always been the bedfellow of marxist cancer, its not a suprise at all. They're worse than the UK Labour party, by a considerable margin, I believe.

The solution to Syrian refugees is for the 'west' to stop its illegal activities in that country and end its support for terrorism.

If the USA or UK or whatever allies bombed my wedding party, killed my parents, my fiance, mt relatives.... I'd gain an anger at the USA and UK that would not be diminished! The USA and the UK (and allies) have been the real bringers of terror to so many places! And of course this spawns anger (why wouldn't it?) and very serious extremist groups (not to mention more mild hatred from the masses).

This refugee issue (and also the problem of fake refugees or mostly young males wanting to take advantage and enter European nations for endless support) is a result of illegal and immoral wars brought onto Arab nations after 9/11 (and that was caused not by so-called Muslim terrorists ...but by Israel's Mossad and secret elements in the USA) but you can look back in history to how the British Empire broke up that area creating problems (Kuwait/Iraq, Ottoman Empire, etc). I's been going on a long time.

However for simplicity's sake, this main continuous (18 years) splurge of wars has been imposed since 9/11 (and you can see how much Bush and Blair wanted some way to attack Iraq). 9/11 was indeed the "New Pearl Harbor" mentioned in the PNAC document from a year before (Project for a New American Century). Think tanks of corrupt warmongers, zionists and unethical greedy big business interests are the problems!

We have been "lead" by complete immoral pieces of garbage ... Bush, Obama, and now Trump are all in this category .... no "change" and no making America great again! All these liberal women loved Obama for his personality and (some) black people liked him just for that. But he was the only US president in wars through two full terms! And they hate Trump or his abbrasive personality but they don't even protest these wars that have killed huge numbers of women , killed and maimed children and caused huge numbers of birth defects from depleted uranium. But if Trump says some stupid locker room crap, they are all over it LOL!

That being said, western so-called civilized nations must have more people who wake the hell up and stop watching what shite CNN, FOX, CBC, BBC feed them and start realizing they have been lied to by their pathetic democratic choices who are all subordinate to a higher level of power .... where the big money is - that's where the control comes from (international banking, big corportations) ... not some puppet politicians who are in and out after a short time.

I have no ill feelings against the average Arab and Muslim in their nations who have been bombed like Germany and Japan were during WWII (and North Korea was!). I have an issue with how the worst from their nations (the young hordes of handout sponges coming to Europe) who the powers that be politicians in Europe are giving free reign to come to Europe by the millions. This is not the fault of the usual Arab or Muslim .... it is the fault of the hidden agenda of those in power causing this.

There shouldn't be any wars against these nations , they should be helped to repair and there should be no waves of refugees into Europe ... but apparently this not part of the plan of those who are causing this on purpose.

The media keep calling them refugees, but they're illegal aliens. Refugee is a legal status which the person has to prove, and they don't have the right to welfare shop and pick and choose a generous country to trek to. They need to be deported.

I wouldn't say they've brought terror to many places. Much of the US and UK's work in the 20th century was a counter to the spread of Bolshevism. I'm excluding, of course, the treatment of Germans, specifically German civilians, during and after the war. That in fact was not just terrorism but it could be argued genocide.

Besides that, we should remember that Muslims are not our friends and have repeatedly invaded Europe over the course of 1,000 years. This is just the latest invasion and it should be regarded as another Islamic invasion.
