Hello everyone.

Something I've noticed with many public figures in Heathenry is their belief that kneeling is not something you should do. The only exception to this that I've seen is the YouTuber known as SurviveTheJive;

As is said in this video, prostration is a part of every single religion to greater or lesser degrees. There is a clear example in the Sagas of men "throwing themselves to the floor" at the feet of a Goddess. So why do so many belive that prostration should not be a part of their faith among Heathens?

An excellent thread opening and I have discussed this question in several posts on my Aryan Myth and Metahistory blog:

Our ancestors did kneel to the Gods and were in awe of them. This idea that we are somehow 'equal' to the Gods is in my opinion a blasphemy and the result of a distortion of our faith amongst certain Odinist communities who place their egos and 'pride' above the Gods. They are viewing the Gods through the lens of 21st century man.
