FBI Suspects Israel Has Pentagon Spy

By CURT ANDERSON, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - The FBI is investigating a Pentagon official for allegedly spying for Israel, including the passing of classified materials about secret White House deliberations on Iran, a federal law enforcement official said Friday.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the investigation is continuing and no arrests have yet been made.

The investigation was first reported Friday evening by CBS News.

David Siegel, a spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in Washington, said: "We categorically deny these allegations. They are completely false and outrageous."

The law enforcement official would provide few details about the investigation, except to confirm that U.S. investigators are looking into the possibility that the Pentagon official passed classified information to employees at the main pro-Israeli lobbying group in Washington, the American-Israeli Political Action Committee, which then allegedly gave them to the Israeli government.

AIPAC officials would not immediately comment.

The federal law enforcement official refused to identify the Pentagon employee who is under investigation, but said the person works in the office of Douglas J. Feith, the Pentagon's No. 3 official.

Feith, the undersecretary of defense for policy, is a key aide to Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, working on sensitive policy issues, including American policy toward Iraq and Iran.

The federal law enforcement official, and another law enforcement official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said the investigation centers on whether the employee in Feith's office passed secrets about Bush administration policy toward Iran to the Israelis.

President Bush has identified Iran as part of an "axis of evil," along with North Korea and the former Iraqi regime.

Pentagon officials refused to comment, referring all questions to the Justice Department.

This is certainly not surprising, considering Richard Perle was involved in the same sort of treason in 1970 while working for Henry Jackson, yet, was a Pentagon advisor until February of this year. Supposedly, Perle even participated in Likud policy deliberations in 1996.

What currently passes as a legitimate civil servant/politician in the US simply beggars belief.

Bush and Ashcroft are not going to press charges. They are just going to let this go because they are Jews. How different from the situation in which Arabs find themselves in the USA, being jailed for even thinking support of Osama bin Laden, regardless of action. Here we have a real crime and real criminals, yet no action. Maybe we should boost the "terror alert" up to blood red.

It's a shame, but the spies most likely won't be charged. And a note about the terror alerts, every knows that the terror alert increases when Bush is worried about losing the election. The levels have always been between yellow and orange, so it looks like this election may be close ;).

The Spies of israel in the american pentagon. I have to say this is very entertaining and note the no arrest made. I have but one question , Why are we allies with israel with these such things happening? I bet were just suppose to get on our knees and say it is ok we know of your suffering in the holocaust you poorly treated Jews :scream :| . This is just one of the many reason that we see the jew conspiring against the white man with all the other colored races of our country. Is there no end?:|
