View Full Version : Moderation of New Members

Welcome to Skadi. At this time, you may wonder why, when you create a new thread or make a post, this does not immediately show up. This is due to the fact that your first 10 posts need to be approved by the Skadi moderators before they are publicly displayed. This is a measure to prevent trolling, spam and inappropriate post content.

Please allow some time until your posts appear, especially if you write them during late/early hours. If one or more of your posts do not show up, it means that the content was not approved by Skadi moderators. Do not write simplistic, empty posts like "Wow.", "Great." and so on to get off moderation sooner - these will not be approved by the moderators.

Please have a look at the Forum Rules (http://forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?t=2729) if you are unsure about the content of your posts.

N.B. The user promotion scheduled task runs automatically once a day. That explains why sometimes one may have more than 10 posts yet still be a newbie for a little while.

Another reason why one may have over 10 posts yet not make it to the Junior Members usergroup is if one is placed on extended moderation (https://forums.skadi.net/faq.php?faq=skadi_faq#faq_extended_moder ation), but in such cases the user title will read so and the member in question will usually be informed.

Thank you, and we hope you enjoy our community!
