Welcome To The Viking Society

vikingsociety@hotmail.com

Hello my name is Bjorn Aasgard and I am starting a project to live off of the land. I have found that the traditional farming community is the best place to live. Modern systems are corrupt and doomed for failure, the people in these systems are mostly sheep who are becoming stupider with each generation. The goal is to start a farming community in Northern Idaho of the United States and then spread out to the West and East. Houses will be built naturally for the most part. This will be a community where people can eat meat, if you are vegetarian you are also welcome. In case anyone is wondering when this is supposed to happen. My current plan is sometime in the summer or fall of 2013(if it was in the fall we wouldn't be independent until next growing season) to the spring or summer of 2014. This is for people who are completely serious about getting out of the system and creating a place where we can live freely. There will be NO money charged for anyone. Donations will be accepted and used to buy items for our population such as knives, guns, seeds, candles, and such. You will need to travel here off of your own money for now but after we are established we may pay to bring some people in. Survival skills are recommended. Heathens and NS(race is your religion) religions only(Odinists, Wotanists, Asatru, etc.). Although we will have some things from the modern world, we will be living similar to the vikings under more favorable conditions. Our voting system will be known as the thing and the annual Althing. They had this system in Iceland and it worked well. Warriors(male and female) will be the only voters allowed. Mead is allowed. Drugs and alcohol brought in from the modern world are not. If you want to make your own mead in our community and drink it in your own house nobody is going to care. However, if you go out in the community drunk and danger the folk or cause any problems you may be tried at the local thing. The children will be taught by a local teacher or they may be home schooled. They will be raised to be strong like the ancient vikings. You can teach your children a trade, or bring them to be an apprentice to somebody also... There is no mandatory education though education will be promoted and libraries will be built. This is a model of viking society but thralls/slaves are not allowed since wherever people have had slaves they have always brought down the higher people. The age of adulthood is 15 for males and females. Both males and females 15 and up can vote(if they have fought in the military),own land, etc. Abortion is not allowed except due to rape or if the child is known to be mixed or has defect. Non-whites which are not allowed in our society will be known as Skraelings which the vikings called the Indians in America. Fruit and nut trees will be planted and the penalty for cutting one down is great. We will not have a currency, as we will trade to prevent misuse. There will be no cars. A primary means of transportation will be by horse. There will be no items such as ipods allowed. Instruments will be brought and musicians will appear. After the community has been officially formed and we have the people we need, we will vote at a thing when to not allow any more people into our communities, too many people with different values is bad for obvious reasons. There will be no immigrants into our lands, and anyone entering will be forced to leave. Our community will need to be built with the people we have and large families are promoted. Outsiders are likely to seek our destruction and we should see them as the evil spawn of Loki(Skraelings) the trickster. Whites outside of our land who aren't aware of the current issues affecting them will be known as sheep. Milk should be drunk in raw form when drunk.. Fruits and vegetables are best to be ate uncooked. Processed food such as sugar will not be allowed in the community. You can eat natural sugar in fruit. We will not have pills, vaccinations, and other such things. The name for the community will be modeled off David Lane's book KD Rebel and the nation will be known as Kinsland. The people of Kinsland will be Kinslanders. The official language will be English. German, Icelandic, and Scandinavian(Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish) will also be allowed.

Would anyone like to help compile some laws?
Any ideas?
Do you think this is a good idea.

Not a bad idea. We can alot currently. I grew up on a farm and miss the simple life. This is something I would love given a chance.

I have often thought about something like this. Although I think it would be a good idea to have plans to start more than just one location. The idea would be to actually create a sort of movement.

There are places still where most if not all of the people in the area are Germanic. Although they do not live such a primative lifestlye. Areas like that would be good places to start.

We started something similar in Oregon with 3 families at start up. You will have to have some members employed making real money, for one thing, don't pay your property taxes with real money and watch how quick the law comes and escorts you off the land. And Idaho isn't all that cheap to buy land from. Anything with trees and rainfall, you are going to pay a bit for. We bought land in the High Desert of Oregon, 160 acres of sage brush and sand. We have electric and a well head. $68,000.00. Property taxes are cheap. We had looked into eastern Washington and Idaho, but the price of land was not cheap. You will also have to look into the counties laws on the property. Here we have 160 acres, but are only allowed one house. We have designed a 3 wing house with a central kitchen. Each family has their own living space, and the kitchen is actually separated into 3 areas with 1 central dining room. There is a lot more that you'll need to research before picking a suitable site. Also, you can home school kids, but try not teaching them at all and watch the kids go to social services. You really need to research this more and make better plans.

Depending on how many people we get then more areas will be assigned. We would spread into Washington and to Montana and other states with pretty low population density. I have thought this out for quite a while and what i said was only a bit but the whole thing is simple...I believe the more complicated you make a plan, the more likely it is to fail. These Germanic places you are referring to are North and in the middle of America right? That will be areas where we will spread too....them areas also have low population density. Life will not be as primitive as Africa and such. We will still have modern weapons, but will rely very little off of the current system. The land will be in the forest and i doubt anyone will mess with us. By the time they do we will have enough defense. 160 acres and only one house....see that is a problem that we will be addressing. This system is so corrupt the only solution is to create our own system. I have several maps of the area and what i chose had good rainfall, low population density, and good weather...what else do i need? Also there are going to be more than one locations. Of course we are going to teach the kids...just not brainwashing garbage that America would want to teach them. I have discussed plans with a guy from Germany and even though they aren't complete, he knows that it will work and that I am right....

I certainly promote other people following my example and even changing things how they wish as long as they aren't in our land and are allies.
It's unlikely that most people will do anything until the modern system collapses which it is bound to do just like Rome, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, and more failed.

Children will be raised as warriors to be strong similar to the spartans and ancient vikings and eventually stronger. This will be a warrior society with farming as well. If anyone has a better idea please tell me and i will consider but i see this as the only way to survive. Our people may die around 2100 if nothing is done. This is an attempt to restore a golden age and it will work!
:)

Anyone genuinely interested should email me at vikingsociety@hotmail.com We will have an updated website, Youtube, Facebook group, and more soon.

The problem with making your own system is that you have to take over the current system. Government entities will respond to anything that is against current laws. If like us, you build more than one house on a piece of land that the county says can have only one house, the county will end up fining you and if you refuse to pay, the local sheriff will escort you and everyone off. Its nice to say we will have our own system, but if it goes against the county or state you plan to live in, you and those people you bring into this will suffer. Also, talking to someone in Germany about doing something in the U.S. and having them agree with you means nothing to the U.S. government and its laws. Research the laws or you will suffer. Another area to look at, the people you bring in. What happens when someone donates (are you going 501(c)) and builds a house, then loses it or decides they want to move on and tries to sell it. Your rules cease to apply if that person sues you for the costs in a U.S. court. I'm trying to give you advice before going into something, which you clearly have not researched enough. Have each member sign a waiver? Those can be fought and found useless in a court of law. Someone gets pissed at their neighbor and calls the cops. Then your little village is found out and closed down because you didn't follow the rule of law, building codes, etc. And then someone goes to jail. Your Viking Village will not be able to build itself unless you bring in enough people into the area and can change the laws, vote in someone useful into a county seat, adopt new rules and take over the county. Without that, your rules will be as useless as the paper they are written on. And trust me, from personal experience, once you bring people into it, you will see things you don't like about them and then nobody will get along 100%. No 2 people are identical and will conform to your needs. Some groups, like PLE, are trying to build up, but are having issues with the local people. Hide yourselves in the woods and watch the alphabet clubs come looking to see what you are doing. You'll be labeled a cult or worse and then it will fall apart. If you do not follow the letter of the law (building codes, etc.), you will just be making it worse for everyone who follows you. People will lose their livelihoods and end up on the streets penniless.

I have been, for a while now, of the opinion that intentional communities should be high on the list of priorities for nationalists/cultural preservationists/anti-internationalists/anti-globalists. It's still important to get our voices heard in the mainstream - our people need us! But we need to look towards establishing our own communities, both as havens from the New World Order and as practical examples of our collective worldview. In fact the setting up of intentional communities should be central to the positve vision needed in our propaganda.

If 100 nationalists (or whoever) within a region, made a commitment to contribute regularly to a central fund they could, within a reasonable time scale secure enough funds to a) acquire sufficient land and live off it as much as possible. Barter, trade with neighbours (subject to local planning laws) or b) target a locale (small town or village) move as many families there as and when the opportunity arises. Once enough were settled they could set up or join exsisting commumity groups where they could spread nationalist ideas, deliver a local nationalist newsletter door to door, get people on the parish (local) council. Punch above their weight within the community, and take leadership roles. Two or more communities within a given region could lean on each other for practical and moral support.

Over the past year or so I've seen the PLE idea dicussed over the net more and more. At the very least we should all be thinking about networking to bring such communitites about in the long term and encouraging nationalist mutual and practical aid networks in the meantime.

And Viking, don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you not to try it. I'm just giving you some advice from someone who has already started it in a smaller scale. We have 3 other partners to this location. One member hasn't paid anything to the mortgage in over a year. One member pays more than her fair share to help out and plans to only come here occasionally till later in life, if at all. One member has money, helps cover the first one, but believes he can do what he wants on this property, damn the laws. He has already built a structure without a permit, originally within code, not needing a permit. He has since added on to it over code and wants to put in a pit for septic without a permit. Just the addition he added could cause us to never get a permit for anything else ever, have him removed from the structure, it torn down and a bill for it handed to us, and a hefty fine. We told him no more building or he is gone. But we keep butting heads with him every month on the same issues. These are people who were supposedly like us, survival/community of the folk types and we have nothing but headaches from the 2 couples. It sounds easy on paper, and anyone can tell you they will follow the rules, but its easier to say something than mean it. Take care, and any advice I can help you with, feel free to contact me. After you get it started, let me know, maybe we can connect and see how each of our projects is going.

Thanks. I hope that you guys solve your problems. You are right that it isn't as easy as paper, and is actually a hard task but i feel it can be done. After i start the community i will try and enter the modern world once in a while and tell of our progress so that people can see that it can be done. Earlier it sounded like our society would be bad since police were mentioned...but there won't be too many reasons for anyone to care about what we are doing. This is mostly starting out as a plan to save our people until modern society falls...which it is likely to do. After it collapses then there will be less of a law and we can advance a lot larger.

In my experience, ambitions such as this do not work with idealists, make it profitable for the participants and you will see miracles, otherwise only headaches and wasted money and time.

I encourage people who are interested to read KD Rebel by David Lane

It won't be exactly like this but it will come close. Also, I do not believe the gods are archetypes.

What about Christian Identity or Agnostic?

Certainly there is no harm in Agnosticism?

What is the difference between the ten commandments and Asutru/Odinism?

Short and sweet: when our ancestors couldn't stomach being trapped on their land (murderous kings, lackeys of the pope, traitorous backstabbing neighbors, y'know, like TODAY), they took to the sea. And that's what I advocate: TAKE TO THE SEA.

This link - Seasteading (https://www.seasteading.org/) - hardly has all the right ideas, but the simple concept of "seasteading", rather than "homesteading", has a lot of imaginative momentum.

So, I thought I'd just throw the idea into the mix. Make of it what you will.

Full disclosure: I've been on my sailboat with my wife and three kids for (roughly) 6 years now.
