Do anyone play the Bavarian card game Schafkopf or the Schafkopf-based card game Sheepshead which is played in the USA especially in Wisconsin.

I love to play the Bavarian Schafkopf with Bavarian or Franconian cards! Its a Game full of tradition and it exist a own "language" (Schafkopf-Sprache (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schafkopf-Sprache)), we, the younger folks from the countryside in Bavaria and Franconia, enjoy to play it, also on tournaments, with the older people.

But I am also interested in the American version with French cards. Is it still played or does play it only the older German generation in Wisconsin.
Write what you know about Sheepshead!

A very good page to play online and also a big worldwide community is Sauspiel! (http://www.sauspiel.de/)

We use a similar deck, but we prefer to play Schnapsen (similar-ish), Watten (incl. Ladinern) and Schnellen. ;)
