Greetings one and all,
Quick question-I read somewhere recently that Skadi is connected to magic somehow but really dont much about her, can anyone verify or elaborate on this further

Well seeing she was the Nordic Goddess of winter, I would think that there would have to be some Magic associated whit her. As would any proclaimed deity.

Problem is, much as I'm drawn to her, she's only mentioned a few times in the Eddas, and I don't know of any written record of any rites of her worshipers.

Skadhi is the old Eurasian mother of the mountains like her equivalents from Scotland to Japan. Despite the degree of cultural & racial differences involved the goddess herself is always much the same though in Germanic sources it only gets hinted at - for example, Loki's vulgar 'dance' with the goat is suggestive of a motif in which someone draws the sun out of the cave by dancing else making her laugh.
