Hi,
does anybody of you knows the modern ethnical groups who are germanic?
I don`s just mean the linguistic group of germanic languages. But even those groups like the Catalonians<---Gothalonians<---West- Goths<---Väster Götar
And those who are really strong efluenced in the ethnic by germanic people like
the Kashubians, a minority of slavs in poland, who were earlier a part of germany, conquered by the german knights, and mixed.
If yes, I would be happy to know more about!!!
Thank you all!
Best regards Arne

Don`t mix the Kingdom/ State with the ethnic Group/ Folk, but yes...
in the South of Begium and the North of France there are Francs- "Salische Franken", today Wallonian, Picardians, etc.
Central and South France are Continental- Celts- Central within Romanians, south Occitanians- Celtics. The Bretanny is british. Celtic in Speach, ethnical Group of the British Caucasians, like in Britain`s West.

Of course the Francs in Germany, mixed with other German Tribes, like Chatten in Hessen and Markomannen in Noth Bavaria.
