Israel is facing a threat from theologians and activists in prominent Protestant churches throughout the world, in addition to the threats posed by "lawfare" and the Goldstone Report, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, charged on Tuesday ... "Theologians and activists in some prominent Protestant churches are seeking to destroy Israel from Above," Cooper warned ... According to Cooper, the center of the Protestant theological war against Israel is the Geneva-based World Council of Churches, an umbrella organization of liberal church bodies ... "Anti-Israel momentum is building," Cooper warned.

Isreal has more to fear than an anti-Isreal movement from the churches, how about fearing God himself!

This is from Revelation 18 describing the punishment of the Great Harlot, (Isreal was "married" to God, but played the whore with the Kings of the Earth).

You will also notice it says the merchants of the Earth grew rich from here, and how the capitalists have indeed grown rich from Jewish banking cedit.

1After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2With a mighty voice he shouted:
"Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!
She has become a home for demons
and a haunt for every evil[a] spirit,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.
3For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries."

4Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
"Come out of her, my people,
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Mix her a double portion from her own cup.
7Give her as much torture and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
'I sit as queen; I am not a widow,
and I will never mourn.'
8Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

I'd like to believe this was true but when I saw the source I realised it was just another case of persecution complex by those paranoid, neurotic Zionists :oanieyes

I haven't seen any tangible signs that "Anti-Israel momentum is building" within the Protestant Church, or anywhere else for that matter, although there would be every justification for this as the world gets increasingly p*ssed of with this nasty little terrorist state!!

I agree. I think it's a spin piece... I think most Protestants see Jews are cultural allies.

Well, then you'd be quite wrong. But when they talk about "liberal church bodies" then they're talking about these churches that have gone off the deep end the last half century or so, the ones that allow gays and lesbians to become clergy, which are being swept up by this "emergent church" nonsense. These churches have become to heavily involved in secular "social activism" and that has made them unfortunately pro-Palestinian among other things. The real Protestant/evangelical churches do of course have an interest in what happens in Israel, but this for theological reasons.

LOL! ;)

I would say that anyone that opposes Legalism is a threat to "Judaism" as is practised by certain "Jews". Namely the Leftist Marxist ones.

But lets fact it, a certian individual about 2000 years ago stormed into their "Temple" and faced down the Sadducee calling them a pack of lying, thieving, scumbags, that were beholden to Roman Payouts, while they lifted money from the people of Judea, and was pretty much a threat to "Judaism" then as well.

Unfortunately is was not the "Christians" but their Roman Pay Masters that finally came in and put them to the sword.

Isnít it amazing how, in thousands of years of history, human nature never changes.

Israels biggest threat is an Islamicized Europe and North America. Something which they helped create

I see that happening for Europe were there are cities with significantly large muslim populations, but not North America.

Israel can fuck off. Boo-hoo! Maybe they ought to rethink some of their policies and be held accountable for the crimes they've committed against the Palestinian people.
