Looks like a beautiful landscape.

Could you tell us some more about the road and sculptures?

The Sculpture is new but the scenery is in Todmorden, Lancashire (my stomping ground) behind an ultra pro-BPP Council Estate.
Whirlaw Rocks, Whirr meaning Wind-Circle (Hvrrlag) and lies upon what was originall a Trading Route before Saxon Times heading between Wigan & Skipton, passing Bridestones & Orchan Rocks heading out towards Burnley.

It is believed, but unproven, that the area was largely cleared out the Normans and Todmorden (Tottas' Boundary Valley) was the demarcation line between Norse & Danish Britain and subsequently became the Lancastrian-Yorkshire Boundary. Older Celtic Urns have been discovered on nearby Rive Rocks whch is now the scene of a Golf Club. A Burial Field is nearby...

Ah man, I rarely get out of the city, but when I do a fire burns within me. Lancashire has the finest soil and air in England I think.

Todmorden looks like a beautiful place.:thumbup

I really should get to the countryside more.....

The countryside and villages are very nice in Lancashire, I visited it once. The only city I visited was Blackpool, but it was raining that day. ;)

We got that from a Stoneyard halyway between Toddy & Bacup, but do not forget that the Lakelands are partly Lancastrian too, I take this kind of thing seriously and will hit over the head (with a large black pudding) anybody saying:
* Widnes/Warrington is in Cheshire
* Todmorden is in West Yorkshire
* N. Lonsdale is in 'Cumbria'

But to placate the 'non-meat-based-county-pudding-eaters' here is a pub on the border between 'Lancastrian' Todmorden & 'Yorkshire' Blackshaw Head on the tops near me, not as open as often as it should be and a bit of a hippy runs it but a great spot...
