The purpose of this forum is to learn more and advance knowledge about Germanics. For this purpose, guest posting is enabled in this section. You don't have to be a registered member to post here. So, if you have any questions, feel free to pose them and our members will try to answer them for you.

In order to prevent spam, advertising and trolling, guest posts in this section shall be moderated. This means that they have to be validated by a member of our staff before appearing on the forum.
Also please note that the Skadi Rules apply in this section, so no comments hostile to Germanics or their heritage shall be permitted.
This is not an opposing views section.

Due to repeated misunderstanding I will have to add that this section is supposed to be used for genuine questions about Germanics, with the interest to learn something about Germanics in passing.

What this section is however NOT for is "profiling questions" such as: "I am half-Jewish, but have a German shepherd dog, can I be a member at Skadi?" or "I'm from Kenia but my grandmother had blond hair, can I be Germanicist?" That is not the purpose this sub-forum was opened for.

These type of questions are usually answerable by a mixture of reading our rules and applying a bit of common sense (even if common sense is perhaps the least common of all senses), but where unsure, please use the Contact Us form to inquire whether you are eligible for membership.

Any such "profiling questions" that are however submitted to this forum will not be approved and deleted upon sight without further comment, so by that you're wasting your own time as much as you're wasting ours.

Thank you. :)

Due to continued misunderstanding of the purpose of this sub-forum:

In addition to what has been said about personal profiling questions, the same also applies to general profiling questions. The purpose of this section is for guests, one-time-visitors, frequent readers and even established members learning about Germanics, not ascertaining whether Group A that is not usually included in the Germanic bracket is indeed, Germanic.

Germanic influences upon non-Germanic groups are factually undeniable, and their discussion is warranted under the wider scope of Skadi Forum, as per the respective section, which is - not inappropriately - named Germanic Influences. Guest posting is however not allowed there (guest reading on the other hand, is), so such more detailed questions will require you to register an account.

The purpose of this section is, I reiterate, questions about Germanics, not questions about Celtics, Slavs, Gypsies, Cambodians or Khoisan bushmen and whether they are or are not by virtue of one or the other way Germanic. Any further such threads, pending the discretion of Skadi Staff, will be either moved to the corresponding sections (if appropriate and they are deemed to merit discussion) or will be indeed deleted without comment.

Thank you. :)
