Anyone here collects lead or small plastic fantasy figures ?

I have a nice collection of mostly 80's and 90's small fantasy figures made of lead or hard high detailed plastic.

I have been doing this since a very early age, starting with the game HeroQuest, after that i started with Warhammer and Warhammer 40.000, i do not play these games anymore, i was also more into collecting the figures of the games and painting them then playing the game itself :D i did finished HeroQuest (not counting the expansion packs).

I have been out of collecting them for some years but i am going to start again, the Warhammer world has some nice figures but allot of them miss something, i can't put my finger on it, but some new ones will be bought by me:

Now that i am watching all those new figures on that page i get all exited again :D

This a classic one i have:

I dunno about 'collecting' them but I do play Warhammer 40k so I have a lot of plastic and metal miniatures. I've been playing for only a few months now but I have sank a lot of money into it already and also a lot of time. I spend probably close to 4 to 5 hours every other day either assembling or painting the minis. Some people think the painting is a chore but I, even as a person who can barely draw stick figures, enjoy the painting process. I "obsess" over things that interest me so I can usually get in the zone and just paint for a straight 4 hours with only getting up once or twice to get more fresh water. When my new phone arrives I'll take some pictures of my models and post them.

Oh and:

To admit defeat is to blaspheme the Emperor.

I used to play both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k when I was a teenager. I always was more of a general than a collector, though.

I quite feel that old fascination for it until today, but then again, I wasted enough of my money on greedy ol' Games Workshop :D

I used to build and collect WWII armored vehicle models. Because of what I do for a living I started to become "like a bull in a china shop" very forceful with everything I touched. I thought it would make me have a softer hand.:D
Now I just forge smaller things that require a softer hand when I feel I am becoming to" bullish".

I dont collect game figures, but I have some fantasy figures, mainly dragons, like these (http://www.voodoomaniacs.de/Einrichtung/Figuren/Drachen-Figuren-Gothic:::769_41_341_40.html).
I also have some lead and pewter figures, also dragons or other fantasy figures like magicians.
I have some figures from Tudor Mint's serie Myth&Magic (http://www.dragonscavern.co.uk), miniatures of course, but they are expensive like hell and I try to avoid shops which have them, I would get really really poor there, haha.
They are very detailed and beautiful, and once you've seen one it is like they're talking to you 'buy me', hehe.

I used to play warhammer a few years ago. But stopped playing it. Still have a few dozen dark elves here, including a few that need a finishing touch. Alto painting them is a hard job to do very well.

I still have a safely preserved collection of 1/35th scale military miniatures I lovingly assembled and detailed during my teen years.

I also have a collection of pewter figurines depicting mythological creatures that I painted.

I do not collect figurines and have never heard of these games before, but I do like to make figurines. I make sand moulds and pour lead figurines, haven't really made any money at it yet, but it is fun and my kids think it is cool.
