NEGRO PREACHER HOWLS ABOUT THE "WHITENESS"
OF XMAS SEASON
======================================== ==========
===============
Tis? The Season To Be Black

Call me the Pro Black militant Grinch or the Ebony Ebenezer Scrooge but
I detest this time of year. This is the time of year that the whole
world turns lily white and those that aren?t white wish they were. White
?Jesus,? white Santa, white elves! What?s an Afrocentric brotha to do;
pour myself a cup of eggnog and go off singing ?I?m dreamin? of a white
Christmas? Never!

Since childhood I have felt somewhat alienated during this time of
year. The holiday television programs that I watched never reflected my
culture. The cartoon characters were always lily white, except for maybe
that Black kid ?Franklin? on Charlie Brown (Even he didn?t talk Black).
The shows were either about American white children named ?Billy? and
?Susie? or English white kids from the 1800?s, but to quote old school
rapper Kurtis Blowe ?this ain?t 1823 - It ain?t even 1970.? Where were
the Black kids in ?Christmas town? or ?Santa land?? I guess the climate
was just too cold for Black folks or the ones that lived there had
enough sense to stay in the house during a blizzard.

I could never understand what was so wonderful about a winter
wonderland. Why glamorize 20 below temperatures and frostbite? My
melanin-enriched skin definitely was not ?feelin?? Frosty the Snowman and Jack Frost.
Why couldn?t the ?Christmas? characters be chillin? in the motherland,
somewhere?

Couldn?t I see that it was a psychological ploy to make Afrikan people
feel that the cold climate of Northern Europe was ?normal? and
something to be celebrated, while the warm sun of Africa was abnormal and
something to be avoided? Oh well, where I was blind, now I see.

Then there was the whole Santa Claus thing. If I was good all year, a
fat white man would break into my house (we did not have a chimney) and
leave me a few toys, which my parents would grumble about having to pay
for all year. It was not until later that I realized that my little
brain computer was translating this to mean that if I didn?t start any
trouble with white folks I would be rewarded with gifts from the great
white man but if I fought against white supremacy, I would be given a
piece of (black) coal.

Although my 7-year-old daughter is not in to the ?Santa thing.? I have
many family members who tell me ?Oh, let the baby have her ?Santee"
Claus, as if that will be the litmus test to determine her success or
failure in life. I guess during her acceptance speech for the 2050 Nobel
Peace Prize she is going to say ? ?and I owe it all to my strong belief
in Santa Claus? or if she winds up homeless and wandering the streets
she will moan ?if only my Dad would have let me sit on Santa?s knee, I
could have been a contender.?

The image of the blue eyed, blond haired ?Christ? child has been most
destructive, well surpassing ?gangsta rap? as the most negative
influence facing Black children. If you are throwing a birthday party for
someone each year, the least you could do is put the right picture on the
party invitation. What is wrong with Black folks having a Black Messiah
in their nativity scene?

[Go for it, koon!]

For too long we have been told that Yeshua (his parents named Him
Yeshua, the white man named him Jesus) was white and had this lie rammed
down our throats at Christmas. Even when we grow up and see the
foolishness of believing that the picture of Michelangelo?s family members is
really the Messiah, many still try to defend this falsehood by asking
"what difference does it make??

The story is also told that his purpose was not to free the Black
children of Israel (that?s what I said!) from their white (Roman) oppressors
but his whole, entire purpose was to excuse white folks from their many
sins against humanity. We as a people have survived not "because of"
our belief that Yeshua was white, but "in spite of" our belief that he
was Caucasian. But this is a new day and it is time for our people to
grow up and put away childish things.

This year we must ?flip the script? as the hip hoppers say or (so not
to lose the church folks) ?take back what the enemy has stolen" our
culture and identity. We must start a ?Dreaming of a Black Christmas?
campaign to get our people to replace the Euro centric Christmas images with
Afrocentric images, starting with those three white folks that they
have in their front yard ?perpetratin?? like they are ?Joseph, Mary and
Jesus.?

We must use this time to tell our people that the original people of
the Bible were Black. We must seize the time and let them know that the
Messiah was not a weak looking white man but was Yeshua, the Black
Revolutionary Messiah who was crucified for ?stirring up the people.?

[Preach on Brother, Christianity is a good religion for Niggers.
Creativity, however, is the right religion for the White Race]

We will raise this issue loud and proud this holiday season whether it
is on talk radio or talking on a street corner. We will let the world
know that this year we are celebrating the birth of the Black Messiah.

[Shee-it man, don't you know that Jesus wuz black? go to
http://www.templeofblackjesus.com ]

So instead of watching the 48-hour marathon of ?It?s a Wonderful Life?
we will be making a better life for our people.

I feel the exact same way... uh.... only I'm not Pro-Black :viking

I have despised Christmas ever since I was about eleven years old. I have always felt that it was a holiday for rich people and I for one would rather stay in bed Christmas Day than be involved in any sort of festivities.

How about be grateful for the privilege of living amongst a civilised country where Christmas is celebrated as part of the 'white' Americans' heritage and religion?

For goodness sake! What colour does he expect Elves and Santa to be?

I stopped reading the article from there. I am very shocked to see this man is a minister!! A man which has unbridled access to the minds of very impressionable people.

No wonder the decline of America is occurring if this man is being given time and space to vent is supposedly legitimate thoughts.

for some of the reasons already alluded to, I am quite happy to see "christmas", jesus etc etc usurped, discarded, destroyed, argued about by different flavours of christians. I am a pagan. Virtually all the traditions at christmas are heathen and have been stolen by the christians. If what they consider to be truisms get hijacked by their own people then permit me a silent laugh and knowing grin to the true gods. This is what happens when a universalist faith is spread so far across the world. It is obvious that some will see god/jesus as an image of themselves.

My hubby said that too. :)

I look at Christmas as not even a religious thing, maybe a slit part of me, but basically, I love buying toys for my kids, the tree, and the environment and family it brings. ( good times ) I also like the cold Christmas Days. :)

I recall reading in a Roman history course that all Indo-European peoples had a holiday around this time of year. The Romans had the Festival of Saturn which remained up until the Christians took over the government. They often passed laws against the old holidays, but it didn't stop the people. Saturn's day officially ended when one of the Jewish sell-outs claimed that the saviour of the Semites was born on this day; the idea caught on and spread throughout the empire.

Generations later, when Rome was gone, the descendants of these proto PC bullies had forgotten about the holiday and would often complain about the Germanic folk committing blasphemy against an idea that our ancestors wouldn't have even known about at that time. Of course, the Semetic sell-outs crushed the old culture and put the little over the old traditions. :thumbdown

Wasn't it the celebration of Mithras? He was born on the 25th December.

Wasn't it the celebration of Mithras? He was born on the 25th December.
The Cult of Mithras was Persian import that came into Rome at approximately the same time as the Jewish Messiah fever (see Monty Python's the Life of Brian for details on this phenomenon). The only thing I know about Mithras is that his cult sprung from the Zoroastrianism.

Edit: I forgot to mention that Dec. 25th was also an important holiday to the Pre-Islamic Persians as BeornWulfWer mentioned.

What's an afro-centric brotha to do?

You could start by not being a minister of a religion that Europeans borrowed from the middle east and then forced upon your ancestors. Jackass.

Man, those Black Israelites are always good for a laugh. Seriously though, I wish blacks would stop celebrating our holidays. If they want to dress up like crazy people and declare themselves the lost tribe of Israel, fine; it doesn't hurt me or mine.

When they are in their stride they sure are impressive. They certainly know how to press people's buttons. As this young lad found out to his detriment. :)

It gets real funny at the eight minute mark and absolutely classic at the 8:23 point.
