Nicknamed "Saint Johanna" for her relentless defence of social causes, she was appointed prime minister on February 1 after the previous government led by the conservative Independence Party resigned amid massive protests over the financial sector crash that pushed Iceland to the brink of bankruptcy.

On an island with limited resources and she WANTS to spend it on Blacks and Turks!
Looks like the 1920's are repeating themselves...

That's what you get when Conservatives adopt economic liberalism (i.e laissez-faire capitalism)

That's not laissez-faire capitalism. I know socialism is a ''dirty word'' in the United States but that's what going on. A L/F Government advocates a lack of involvement in economic and social matters. That means no affirmitive action, racial quotas and welfare cheques. And there would be almost no incentive for business owners to pay for airplane tickets, housing and food for their third world employees.

It would force people to return to security nets (offspring + church + community) as opposed to the pension and the government.

All our ills in the west has been the result of socialism.
National Libertarianism seems to be the only solution at the moment. I'm not so confident about National Communism or Nationalized Socialism, because that's sorta what we had after 1945 and we ended up in our current state because of it.
