View Full Version : Aryan and Heathen: An Inherent Contradiction of Terms or Necessary Relations?

Aryan - a word of fantastic contention in seemingly all Heathen/Pagan/Racialist/Racist circles, the reason for which, the older - and hopefully wiser - I get, the more I find ever more elusive. Heiğinn (not Christian or Jewish, if there is indeed an essential difference) related to Old Norse heiğr and Goth haişi both denoting 'field' to which the German boden also relates: not only the sacredness of ground, and tree; but the sacredness of blood as intertrined in and with the airşa - the Earth, itself. The divinity of our forebares (and ourselves) lives in the mediating element between the Heavens and the verold and that mediating element is the bloş: there is no divinity without blood; no blood without divinity. By blood, in this sense, is to mean of Race; not of a race in the sense of Europid, Sinid, Negrid etc.; but Race in the sense of being of both the verold, and the bloş i.e. of the World and of the essence: a generative connection between all worlds - a traveler who's home is Midgard and as his connectivity to the world tree dictates, undergoes *uzdailjam; or, the ordeal. In Nietzschean terms, he "goes under" to resurface again, better than before in the cycle of aiws ,and/or, ævi.

The degree to which one is capable of this is necessarily tautological in nature: the blood (as a simultaneously physical and metaphysical substrate) inheres, and is passed on if kept *klainoz, or Pure. The best inheres in the blood; the good, noble, virtuous, dignified, proud qualities of the Aristos - the Greek conceptual relation/connection to the Goth Goti, (from which the very word good may even be derived!) and later German Gottlisch: the man of Divine Race. - Thereby, associating conceptually to Aryan: "noble, honorable, respectable; belonging to the hospitable and merciful": *ar "fitting or fitted together harmoniously".

It is my contention that all Aryans are Heathen; but not all Heathens are Aryans.

Please, share your thoughts.

I agree, although I would humbly submit that the Old English term Æğel (or any of the other Germanic variants) might be preferable to the Vedic Aryan. Æğel maintains the connotations of nobility and blood which does contrast nicely with the more earthy Hæğen. An even more appropriate term for the first type might also be the Proto-Norse Erilaz, which, although lacking the blood connotation, maintains the aspect of nobility and also embodies the martial and magical aspects.
