I don't admire any white group, I judge all white men and woman on an idividuale basis.

All groups have their slime and have their good quality people, so you must judge people for what they are personally, and not because they are nordic, alpine or med, that's the way I pick my friends, the only people I associate with are white people, but if your white and your a slime ball, then take a walk, I don't care if your Italian,German, Irish ETC.

I admire Mediterranean art, food and culture in general. I also admire, at least here in America, the way that Italian-American families tend to be very close and how family seems to come before other distractions. In other words, they seem to take care of each other and it's refreshing to see, in this day and age of 'broken homes' and scattered, disinterested familys.

As for my own, New World, rural, "Anglo-Saxon" culture, I admire our notions of rugged independence, individuality, self-determination and love of personal freedoms. This is, of course, not to say that Medfolk don't share these cultural traits as well...they may indeed. It's rather inherent though in the few of us realitively unadultered 'old stock' Americans left.

I'm not sure, as I've never met a 'Med' in RL. I've met many people with origin in the Mediterranean, but they were all either Alpines, Dinarics, Semites, or Atlantids. The only 'Meds' I've met are online. I think their pomposity and arbitrary claiming of folk like us Atlantids as 'theirs' is their best quality I've seen so far. Pretty good imitation of Boneheads, in a creepy, whiny sort of way. I'll let you know when I actually meet a 'Med' who is a Med, and is worth my recognition as being a person.

Then again, the real Nordic folk I've met are nothing like the skinny, huffing, wimps that parade around as Nordic ... neither are they like the rotund, sweaty, 'Comic Book Guys' that like to pretend to being 'Nordic' soldiers. I think of my friend Marius from Norway ... over a head taller than me, supremely serene, intelligent, tolerant, disciplined and even-tempered. If only he were more like his inferiors, he could go wipe out his sorry imitators, eh?

Personally, I find this fight between the two a little, well... RETARDED. It sounds more like an Ashkenazi-Sephardi fight... then again, maybe it is....

I tend to agree with dalonord's valuations.

What I admire in Meds: deep humanistic feeling of the heart for life and the senses. This IMO has produced the great Med profusion of wonderful cuisine and eating rituals, family customs, music, art, and what we call modern "civilized" life.

Nords: independence, coolness of mind and action, feeling for nature.

Both have shown themselves to be exploratory and have expanded Europe's (and Mankind's) horizons quite a bit. I think "Modernity" owes a lot to the activity of Meds and Nords - working on tandem with other groups in Europe who contributed their virtues (such as industry, sociability, etc).
