Shepherds bring their cattle off the mountain pastures for winter and celebrate a successful summer during Viehscheid.

The celebration marked the first day of "Viehscheid," which translates roughly to "animal separation," when farmers bring their animals down from thier Alpine pastures for the winter.

Locals dress in traditional Tracht and adorn their cows in native flowers and bells for the celebration, which takes place every fall.
